Sometimes life isn't roses and candy treats. With the season on the brink of begining, the last thing a young team like ours needs is more distractions. I know for a fact how much of a issue that can be. Playing football in highschool, between my sophmore and junior years, our longtime head football coach, coach cherry, retired, and it was a big ruckus. The new coach came in with a heavy burden of following in a big time coaches shadow. Well this coach came in, was no where near the ability of the former coach, and it was notceable immediatley!!! We knew it as players, the fans, the media....you couldnt hide it from Hellen Keller. So naturally, this distracted us, and a team that should have won districts with many returning seniors and juniors.....won 6 games and was eliminated from playoffs against Santaluces highschool one hot, wet summer florida evening in October. So, back to the Dolphins, the last thing we need when we are trying to gel personalities such as Brandon Marshall, Reggie Bush and Chad Henne.....is a distraction. Not to mention a distraction on a National Level such as this. So how do we over come it? It all starts with Tony Sporano. If he controls the locker room.....we have a chance. We just can't get intertwined with the distractions.....all I know is.... I hope Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony find peace with their decision to divorce, I hope it doesnt get ugly, and I hope the Dolphins succeed even with their owners going through such turmoil!!!!!!!!!!
I hate to be serious here but, Killer has questioned my sense of humor on his lack of a love life, which hurt my feelings. To me, Sparano has appeared to be a different coach. He is not the luvable "Teddy Bear" of the past few years. He is taking some shots at the media, a VG thing, and seems to have developed an US vs the world mentality, another VG thing. I believe that, with the leadership now here, that will become a rallying point for this team. It may well be something for fans to catch on to as well.
Aye. Our season could very well hinge on who gets Dansby during the weekends after the divorce proceedings. BTW, you forgot to mention the badonkadonks that regularly populate the SoFla area. I just pray our guys can deal with those
The players love Tony Sparano so I don't see an issue with anything unless we are losing. Reggie Bush is nothing less of a role model on and off the field and it's looking like both Chad Henne and Brandon Marshall are hungry for success. The team will play for Tony Sparano and I have no doubt that this team will give it their all. It's do or die in Miami and I don't see how anyone can't be excited this season.
