For those interested in watching the practice sessions all week they are on at noon and 3 pm on channel the NFL network. If you are don't forget to set your DVR's! Personally Im not only looking forward to watching some of the prospects but also watching the Sparano and the staff drill these kids.
yea i am really looking forward to what the defense will look like at the senior bowl with Nolan coaching them
I thought I remember hearing something along the lines of the coverage will only be one hour because of Pro Bowl coverage.
It's 1:30 according to the guide. They only have one session today, I believe they televise both practices tomorrow through at least Wednesday IIRC.
It'll be interesting to see what DE's they have working with the LB's (Brandon Lang comes to mind). I like that our coaching staff gets a nice preview of a lot of these guys, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
As mentioned already there only seems to be the one practice today at 3:30 Est. Should get two practices each day for the rest of the week. I would have sworn that we had two today as well....
Here are the weigh-ins courtesy of WalterFootball.com. http://walterfootball.com/seniorbowl2010weighinQB.php Largest player was Cody at 6040 - 370. Some other names of interest. Jared Odrick Penn St. 6051 301 Dan Williams Tennessee 6022 329 Eric Norwood S. Carolina 6007 246 Sean Weatherspoon Missouri 6007 241 A.J. Edds Iowa 6035 245 Brandon Graham Michigan 6010 263 Brandon Lang Troy 6036 260 George Selvie S. Florida 6044 247 Taylor Mays USC 6030 231 Myron Rolle Florida St. 6014 217 Jimmy Graham Miami 6063 250 Anthony McCoy USC 6045 249
If he was playing with that level of quickness and athleticism at 370 lbs there's plenty of room for improvement. Also large hands are a major part of keeping blockers off of you inside. If he were say 340-350 I would say he's nothing exceptional. I can see signs of Ted Washington with Cody. That's worth the 12.
It's not determined what we're playing. We have a DC that's run both and an organization that's done both.
Cody could go to NE or Cleveland IMO. Those are the only two gap teams that come to mind at the moment and they both could be without a nose next year.
That looks worse than Andre Smith from last year's draft. Weight has to be a concern with Cody, athleticism be damned.
I have a Seinfeld rerun playing in my head right now... Seriously though, I think Odin is right. That's a lot of weight for that boy to be carrying around.
I am really stoked about some of the players on the South roster. QB Joseph Webb 6030 223 UAB RB Anthony Dixon 6006 245 Mississippi State RB Ben Tate 5107 214 Auburn TE James Graham 6063 259 Miami WR Jeremy Williams 6001 205 Tulane OG John Jerry 6054 332 Mississippi OG Mike Johnson 6053 306 Alabama OT Selvish Capers 6045 304 West Virginia OLB Brandon Lang 6036 260 Troy State NT Terrence Cody 6040 370 Alabama NT Lamarr Houston 6026 302 Texas NT Dan Williams 6022 329 Tennessee LB Eric Norwood 6007 246 South Carolina CB Javier Arenas 5085 195 Alabama FS Myron Rolle 6014 217 Florida Sate Sparano and the gang will get a really good look at those guys. Mixed feelings about Tebow and Selvie. I suppose its good for the Dolphins to get up close and personal. We will find out of they are the real deal or not.
From what little I have seen, Anthony Dixon seems pretty solid. I like the kid, even if he did go to State....
