Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall: "Aaron Dobson of Marshall, a favorite of mine the past two years because of his highlight reel catches and production despite poor QB play, showed great routes today, especially along the sideline. His development there is better than I expected, and with his upside and quick feet to pick up speed and drive through contact on the interior, he could be a trendy 2nd round favorite." - Eric Galko, Optimum Scouting Alex Okafor, DE, Texas / Datone Jones, DE, UCLA: "Though each had put up eye-popping numbers during their senior seasons, Okafor and Jones had each relied on strong hand play and high-revving motors to achieve their success. This week, each has shown better quickness, often slipping past the North offensive tackles with their initial burst.Considering that the North boasts Central Michigan left tackle Eric Fisher that's saying something." Thanks for that. Is it just me or does it seem like although there is a shortage of "elite" talent in this draft that there is an abundance of good to excellent talent at a variety of positions?
I think Terrance Williams looks natural and graceful out there, here comes the third day, receiver redzone work..
It was just a flash in route but the gallop looked smooth, light footed, and graceful...and it was on day 2.
I'm actually excited to sit down and review film of Okafaor. Sounds like the player with the best chance of me loving him more than Ziggy Ansah at DE.
And I want to give Ireland due credit for amassing a bunch of 2's and 3rds. He clearly correctly assessed that this would be a good draft class and positioned accordingly. In this case, good job. Now if only he picked 'em better when our name was called. Actually, I have a feeling that this year, with joe Philbin's input, we will be pleasantly surprised.
