when it comes to smith, i dont think either side wanted to talk to the other. his pride wanted 7, we very publicly wouldn't give it to him. He stil didn't get it elsewhere, but he didn't come crawling to us.

    Well away from here
Man corner, we're switching to more of a zone scheme.

  5. I wonder what deal Ireland offered him to stay?

Damn shame. He could've gotten a lot more if he was willing to use his size and actually hit somebody.

Nah, I don't think that is it. He could have gotten more if he could actually hold on to passes.

The switch or SS being more of a man guy?

  12. I agree.... One of the most disappointing attributes of his was the lack of ints he had. It wasnt from a lack of opprotunities. He just never seemed capable of coming down with the ball in his hands and it has never improved for him.

SS had the size and skill level to be a great corner. He, however, lacked intelligence and courage to get to that level of play.

I think there's a simple reason for the lack of INT's.
He rarely showed the ability to turn his head to play the ball and keep coverage at the same time.
He just did not develop well.
    No loss IMO.

Tbh, I thought he was horrible. Not worth the money or the time. Glad we did not entertain him further.
