Dol-Fan DupreeForum VeteranGood for him.
He is a great kicker.
Holland is a huge upgrade over McCain
I want to be alive, I am alive! Alive, I tell you! Mother, I love you, those are no longer just words. I want to hold you, I want to run in a stream, I want to taste ice cream but not just put it in my mouth and let it slide down my throat but really eat it. - Robot Morty
KeyFinForum VeteranYeah, good for him. Averages to about 4.5M a year...he was scheduled to make about 900k this season. It doesn't say how the contract breaks down per year but that's definitely a nice boost in income for the most reliable kicker in the league.
Winning football games at any level comes down to winning in the trenches.
MafiosoForum VeteranHow does that compare to other top kickers in the league?

How great is this?!?!?
I am happy for Jason and the Phins! Nice job locking him in down through 2026!
Honestly, this will probably be one of the most underrated signings of the offseason.
FinatikStaffESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Miami is signing Sanders to a five-year, $22 million contract extension to tie him to the club through 2026. The deal reportedly includes $10 million in guarantees.
Sanders just completed his third season out of New Mexico, making him one of the first members of the 2018 draft class to receive an extension. Miami selected him with the 229th overall pick in the seventh round.
Sanders was one of the most accurate kickers in 2020, missing only three of his 39 attempts. He hit 12-of-14 attempts from 40-49 yards and 8-of-9 kicks from at least 50 yards. He nailed all 36 of his extra points and sent 70.3 percent of his kickoffs for touchbacks.
Overall, he’s sent 86.5 percent of his field goals and 98 percent of his era points through the uprights.
Lots of people will tell you what they think about you and what you shouldn't and should do. Not everyone's thoughts are worth consideration. Don't take criticism from anyone who you wouldn't also go to for advice.

The total value of 22m is tops in the league. Per-year average is 4th. Guaranteed money is 3rd behind Justin Tucker and Jake Elliott.
brandon27SupporterWell deservered IMO. He's been very consistent for us.

Hes earned it. We rarely worry about extra points or even 50 yard field goal tries.. not many teams can say that.. lots of teams around the league have major kicking issues
Deus ex dolphinForum VeteranThat feels like an eternity for a kicker contract, but the money isn't really an issue -not like paying a QB big money and then having to get rid of them (I'm looking at YOU, Rams and Eagles).
A terrible play call, terribly executed.

Well he was a 1st team all pro and got paid without setting a new kicker market and hurting us. Hes paid very well, but he's earned it. Good for him.
Thanks!
