Title speaks for itself. Came across this video on youtube and figured I'd share it here everyone. Probably the best loss I've ever seen lol.

I remember the game well. It's just a crying shame we didn't come out on the winning end of it!!!

After the game I went to my room and collapsed on my bed from emotional exhaustion, I have never watched a game that put me through so much like this game did.

I was 13 years old and living in Miami back then, but could not get tickets to the game. I watched it all and felt so empty when the Dolphins lost...

The way Don Strock performed when he came in was unbelievable !

That game was just " One for the ages ! " CLASSIC.

I guess you never saw the 2 OT victory in Kansas City on Christmas Day 1971, the game that put us in the AFC Championship Game with the Colts. That is still the only NFL game to ever go to a 2nd OT.

We held Christmas Dinner for 2 hours because of that game. The whole family was around the TV watching.

I was lucky enought to be there.

I remember everyone piling out into the parking lots after it got to 24-0.
Then after they started coming back people actually tried to get back in.
The stadium actually allowed it and people started pouring back in.
    Friggin hysterical.

I couldn't even begin to explain to anyone, who didn't have the pleasure of watching that football game, how incredibly exciting it was. And I have never cried harder in my life. Watching it was like you were there: The emotions, the anger, the frustration, the excitement, intensity....you name it, i felt it. If it wasn't THE greatest game ever played, it was certainly in the top three. Neither team deserved to lose that game. It was a game that showed a lot of character and a lot of heart from both teams. That game was a thing of beauty, a masterpiece. It showed what football was all about.

I really wish I could have seen that team we had back then play.
    Just a little too young.

It's still the longest game in NFL history, but a few other games have gone to 2 OT's. I can think of Oakland-Baltimore and Cleveland-Jets off the top of my head.

Actually that isnt the only game to go into 2nd OT there was a playoff game against the rams and panthers and in the first play of 2nd OT panthers hit a long one to win the game.

The greatest game I have ever seen. Cant believe I'm saying that about a loss but for some reason I didnt feel as devestated after that one. Just felt I was lucky enough to see the best game I have ever seen played. Felt proud of my team. After that game game and the famous hook and ladder I thought there was no question that Don Shula was the greatest coach ever

WOW...did that bring back memories. Its funny that all who saw that game remember exactly where they were, almost like it happened yesterday. Everytime I watch highlights of the game I hope Von Schaman makes the last kick, but he never does. Also, the intensity on Jim Jensons face during that sideline shot is priceless. To this day it is the best game I ever saw involving our dolphins even though they lost. (The bears game is a close second).

...One last thing..Damn I miss Shula!!!!

I keep hoping Andrea Franklin never fumbles on the drive in regulation where they could have put the game away, but he keeps fumbling too.

I was working that day but watched as much as I could on a TV set they had in the office.....I was standing right at the door when we had the pass and lateral...as we score I jumped not realizing how close the top of the door was and hit my head real bad....I felt like Fred Flinston...lol I still can't believe that our kicker missed not 1 but 2 easy fieldgoals that would have won the game for us...still a great game.

    Ozzy rules!!

I was 16 years old when watching this game. I also would have to say that was the most emotional game I have seen, other than maybe the '71 Christmas Day game, and also the Raiders-Phins playoff game in 1974, which ended our Dynasty.

The '82 game was amazing....Kellen Winslow had the game of his life. von Schaumann had several opportunities to put the game away but shanked a few....we made so a great comeback in the game, only to come up a little short.

The game epitomised the reason we spend countless hours, reserve 1/7th of our waking lives, September through December each year to witness, and possibly have a chance to once again experience, the kind of emotional indoctrination that can forge a lifetime allegiance.

Oh, you just HAD to go and mention that one, didn't you?!?!?!?!?!. I will curse the day Kenny Stabler ever walked onto a football field!!! I will burn the football field it was on!!! I will smite any QB that ever comes from Alabama again!!!! I KNEW that Benny Malone scored too soon. Should have let Zonk carry a couple of more times, and instead Malone breaks around the right and leaves enough time for Snake to drive the field and throw that ruptured duck pass on his way down.
    Rodent Poop!!!

We could not get a darn FG to win it! Poor Uwe!! I was 12 years old the time and yes admittedly cried. The scene with Winslow being helped off the field burns in the memory file and is priceless.
