I worked with both of these gentleman (one retired, one present) for 15 years and they were also friends. One was killed by the other last Friday night and noone (friends) know yet if it was an accident or not. It's a sad situation with alot of speculation being thrown around at this time. I have my own thoughts as to what could have happened but I'll let the Justice system handle it now. My reasoning to posting this here is because there is a little Dolphins history involved that I'm sure many are not aware of. I'm proud to say I spoke on many occasions to Willie about football and he always had some great stories to tell. R.I.P. http://www.bradenton.com/2014/01/27/4957351/1b-bond-set-in-death-of-jones.html
Sorry for your loss. I was curious when he was drafted and ran across a newspaper clip. Hope the link works. http://news.google.com/newspapers?n...3fsjAAAAIBAJ&sjid=d2YEAAAAIBAJ&pg=3739,776543

I live in Palmetto and remember him....so many would comment about how he was the nicest guy. Sad story...
Thanks all. The funeral is Saturday and the other guy didn't make bond. From what I was told, he wasn't officially charged yet. Not sure what that means considering he's sitting behind bars.
When you are arrested, you have to be arraigned in front of a magistrate. That is where they consider the evidence and either charge you, or dismiss charges. There is a limited amount of time you are allowed to be detained without being charged. I believe it's 48 hours?
