I just like this cat's game, would like to know his 20 yd shuttle and 3 cone drill time, but I suspect he is a larger, more athletic version of Matt Roth, with man arms and not T-Rex arms.

Recall we came very close to drafting Chris Long in 2008, so to me he is our darkhorse pick if we stay at #15.

Kerrigan's a really good player, but I'm not sure I could get behind that pick. I remember we were interested in Chris Long because we didn't really have an OLB opposite Joey Porter going into 2008 - ultimately they shifted Vonnie Holliday and then Matt Roth there - and we drafted Koa Misi last year. IIRC your boy Ikaika Alama-Francis signed an extension last year at some point, and it'd seem he'd be the logical backup to Koa Misi at SOLB.

I feel like SOLB is ultimately where you'd play Kerrigan in Miami's defense, thus making him or Koa Misi a part-time player, and if we learned one thing from the Pat White disaster, it's that you don't spend early round picks on part-time players. You need production out of those picks, and I feel like Kerrigan, while he might end up starting, just isn't really needed when you have Misi and Alama-Francis, especially when both of them have shown they have the ability to play standing up and move in coverage, etc. where as that's still a mystery with Kerrigan.

I'd be more apt to try and spend a 4th - 5th round pick on someone like Dontay Moch, Chris Carter, Mario Addison, etc. to be Cameron Wake's backup. Just my 2 cents, but despite Kerrigan being a really, really good player, I feel like there's definitely more pressing needs than OLB, and I suspect he might still be a better fit for a 4-3 defense.
