Baker's a savvy defensive line player. He's also a guy that gets his hands up and bats balls down. It could be something they want Tannehill to work on in practice.

so much for promoting a wr from the ps and cutting Naanee. instead we release Hogan from the ps, sign another wr to the ps... and bring back Ryan Baker. A guy who has been signed the most to our active 53 since Parcells/Ireland era began. Speculation that McDaniel is nursing an undisclosed injury. That would make sense then... otherwise no... no it doesn't make sense.

if mcDaniels has a injury or should i say still has a injury , i would have cut him before the season to help us cap wise and we could of still had baker on the roster
or the guy who just returned to our p squad from the jets ,

randall has looked good to cover the 1st back up roll at def tackle ,and ordrich can slide inside !

just dosent work out for me ,like you said a wr ,cb was really needed now we have 9 def line man on roster dohhhhhhhhhhhh
    unbalanced roster still

Kheeston Randall looked like he belonged out there. But he did fall down on one play that proved costly. But then, Soliai screwed up on the play Arian Foster ran in for a big intermediate gain score (not the short TD the longer one).

Eh, thin with Naanee is they are giving him an opportunity, if he continues to struggle they will have to make a move on him.

As for Ryan Baker, b/c he can play DT or strongside DE he gives the D more flexibility.

Surprised NE has not signed Baker, he seems like their sort of player, do many jobs, no ego etc.

You're implying the PS roster is vital to our season.

    where do i say that??
iam implying mcDaniel was injured in preseason and he may well be still and i saw enough from randall and the other guy to cut mcDANIEL before season
and maybe have baker on the roster then ! not after 1 game !

just watched the coaches film from the game, i agree Randall looked good, but the best performance off any interior player besides that early snap must be pouncey...he was dominating.....if you like defense more you could also make a case for randy starks, but man did pouncey look good

MCD is obviously battling a significant injury , he doesn't get cut if healthy , the dude can play and play well and has had more than moments where he controlled the play .

Who was the missed/non block on when Cushing flew in untouched and caused the Bush Fumble? Was it Incognito or was Long supposed to further pull and hit that hole?

I sure have no problem with resigning Baker. I'd have kept him on the 53 at the final cutdown myself, along with Isaako Aaitui, and cut McDaniel.
Baker is the kind of lunch pail, blue collar type, that I think Shula would have liked to had on his team. Not the same body type, but a Chuck Klingbeil sort of guy.

McDaniel did not look very agile in the game against Houston. It would not surprise me if he eventually goes IR.

I like Baker, but I must admit when I heard he was resigned today it caused me to laugh out loud. I think more so because of the humor about him on this board.

DTrain is out with a Concussion so Lamar Miller is stepping in.

McD is not even at the facility, but Randall is taking his spot and Odie may swing inside as well.
