Been there many times, Detroit is a way better city, better people.. One time I was staying at a Marriott downtown in St. Louis., went to the front desk to ask for a good sandwich shoppe, she said to me, "well, we gotta suuuubway around the corner"
I think I do too. Deputy Dawg Ahh, the good ol' days of classic cartoons. I was quite fond of Huckleberry Hound too.
I spelled it like that so you could interpret that I wanted and expressed a more gourmet style of sandwich.
Jackie tweeted 14 minutes ago "alright hold up everyone.... Nothing is official yet!! BTW, I've already been working the twitter angle..... to no avail thus far. lol Check out MiamiWantJackie & CharlieDoodle77
tweet her that if she stays in Miami she would easily get a modeling contact...not to many gigs in Missouri for that.
Well, I doubt Jake is coming back either but Big Bryant still lives in Miami...doesn't mean he's coming here for interview with Fins...
ArmandoSalguero The Dolphins remain hopeful they can re-sign LT Jake Long. 5 minutes ago · reply · retweet · favorite
I think we have a "let us match it" handshake deal in place with him. IF we can get close, the tax difference and his wife (happy wife equals happy life) might close the deal for us.
Lol volin owns omar and mondo in a matter of a couple days... Good times. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
^yea, i think we said, Last week; giner-"this is what we are going to give you jake, feel free to test the market and get back to us and we can talk about it" this evening; Jake-"rams are willing to give me 4/35 and i know your first offer was 4/32...so.... giner-"yea, i dont feel comfortable going that much, i'll tell you what, we will bump up the guaranteed money from 18 to 20. Oh, by the way, do you like to keep your wife happy? *long asks rams front receptionists for the fax number* Jake-"xxx-xxx-xxxx, send it over"
Ironic that Chris Long was in the same draft class as Jake and it looks as if they will be on the same team...
I'm sigging that if he re-signs. It's contingent on where our cap is sitting; For the same money, he stays here over StL.
It may be better this way. I feel like Jeff does very well nailing first round OL evals and picks. Wide receiver and Cb have historically been more challenging for him. Perhaps owing to a habit of not draftig them high, so not developing a good radar for it. Go with your strengths. Let him take a Pro Bowl lineman rather than roll the dice at another position. So long as he still gets those othe players in free agency or wherever it's fine.
Poor Omar, can't get any scoops himself so he has to retweet others. Anyways, If true it's gotta be Vollmer, Winston, or bust.
i doubt we match any contract Long gets (assuming we get the opportunity - which allegedly we will). Vollmer, Smith and Winston are all still available (as well as a stop gap McKinnie - which i don't want) ... assume Vollmer and Smith are waiting for Long to sign to 'set the market' for them. I don't think any of them are going to get the $$$$ they thought they were ... not even close -- which is good for us. TE - T - CB should be what we have left for FA .... (although i'd still love a DE)
Depends upon how reasonable it is. If the offer from St. Louis is near what the 'Phins have on the board, it would be worth having him back just based on the possibility that he could play at something approaching his pre Sparano-play-him-with-a-bunged-up-shoulder-in-an-already-lost-season period. He has never been the same since - and Sparano should have had the necessary male gonads to pull him until he was well - but that is water under the bridge. What we could have now is a reasonably priced very good LT for a number of years - if Long can get to even 75% of what he was in his 2nd and 3rd years and maintain it. If he can get all better - Glory Hallelujah! If St. Louis is going to go all in, and throw big money at him (which I doubt - they are probably giving him about the same figure we are and trying to entice him to sign immediately!) - then let him go to them. In that case, that number 12 might be good enough to grab Lane (maybe) but with 2 second rounders, we should be able to find a fairly good LT somewhere in this mess. And, then find a replacement for Puffnstuff Jerry!
