If anything Ross has class for letting him spend the holidays with his family rather then his team. I guarantee you Sparano is happy with the timing.
I wish my employer would give me a million dollar contract extension before firing me 6 months later. I would anoint him St. Ross or Santa Ross.
I think this fanbase better startin kissin some *** instead of whining and *****ing just because they like to see their opinions in print, doing so without legit justification..and only continuing to damage a culture, team, and city that most of us love..
It has now become a Jeff Ireland witch hunt. Dolphin fans play the blame game better than any in all of sports.
Killer, when I really think about the timing of the firing, I just don't think I would of done it til after the season, considering the microscope this owner is under, I think I might of went the other way to protect and change the perception a bit, and kept him til the end of the season, but I just don't know the consequences of waiting to long..
Worrying about the "microscope" everyone has put you under instead of the business at hand is a lousy way to run a business.
More like a guaranteed way to fail... Even if you stick your finger in the air to see which way the wind blows, sometimes you still have to tack your way upwind.
Sparano gets time off to spend with his kids, full salary, right before Xmas. Ross is like Santa Claus!
It's a good point you make. But I think Ireland and Sparano both should have been fired last year and we might have had a shot at Harbaugh. The failure with Harbaugh just might go down as Ross's biggest failure with this team. He could have a chance to fix it with a good coaching hire, but with worm tongue Ireland on board, I don't think we'll recruit anybody worth a ****.
