Henne better learn to get the ball out quicker and that he won't have very cushy protection in the pros if he wants to start. Otherwise we'd be watching the not-so-good older version of Drew Bledsoe eating turf.

I will be truly shocked if Henne starts game 1... or actually any game this season.

i can definately see the possibility that henne starts for us this year. It seems like he has as much of a chance as McCown or Beck does. I just hope that if he starts, its because he went out there, worked hard, and played like he deserved to win the job

You can't underrate the fact that Henne was picked by the current regime and Beck was not.

I think McCown will be the week 1 starter. It will be interesting to see who steps in in the event McCown hets injured. My money would be on Henne.

I don't care who plays, as long as the guy can win us ballgames...I'm sure that's one thing we all can agree upon.

You also can't underrate the fact that they passed on him and took a DE with a sports hernia injury, thinking Henne won't be there when they pick again, didn't trade up to get him, and also were surprised he was still there when they got him.

He's their guy but they aren't starting Parmele over brown or williams either. QB is vital, he has to be clearly better to start, and I don't think he will be this year. Give a guy like beck a year headstart in the NFL, an offseason and 4,000 throws with the QB coach, the playbook months before everyone else, and I don't see him losing unfairly.
