Nice little piece with some encouraging video (coverage vs Gronk) notice the usage of the words SAMPLE SIZE. https://www.profootballfocus.com/bl...rss&utm_campaign=rookies-in-focus-dion-jordan
Also per PFF, DJordan was the most productive rookie pass rusher last season... this with very limited playing time and also spending time in coverage. https://www.profootballfocus.com/bl...stats-pass-rushing-productivity-edge-rushers/
He had shoulder surgery after the combine, he wasn't allowed to participate in any OTA's because of his college cirriculum, I believe if you watch the brown game you see him re injure the shoulder, for me it's a complete do-over.. Philbin has squashed the rumor that his work ethic was in question...do-over..
I'm not that encouraged by that, tells me the rookie pass rushers all sucked...Dion needs to add many moves to his repertoire, especially redirecting to the inside, it's non existent at this point, I believe in Jordan! but it's time to put the work and mentals into the most athletic football player in the game.
Year 1 was not impressive for any of the rookies, Ansah thrived against the run....Jones, Mingo, Jordan and Woerner all did next to nothing. Good news is? This is year 2 and we still have hope.
3-4 defense. Soliai on the nose, Starks and Odrick at end. Jordan, Vernon and Wake at OLB. Ellerbe, Misi, Wheeler inside. A blind man can see it. Unfortunately, Philbin and Coyle have working eyes.
Agree that the overall class was a weak one comparatively speaking, but I think the rankings are a clear indication that he would have blown it up if not the shoulder and that the coaching staff limited him so much. The guy clearly has a ton of talent. Were the rumors about his PEDs use ever resolved?
loved the coverage of Gronk, do think it may take him 3 full yrs to really hit his stride as much like a young JT, he cannot anchor vs the run quite yet
Someone on the board said that Jordan had been caught using PEDs. Of course, after hitting up google, the closest thing that could be found was a section of an article on Jordan being lumped together with a section about ANOTHER player being caught.
