This type of argument is just dancing around the problem and pinning excuses on everyone else.

The 2009 Miami Dolphins defense was awful. Outside of the 2007 Miami D, it's the worst we've had since the early 90's. They allowed more 4th quarter points then any team in the league at one point 3 quarters of the way through the season with almost no injuries at the time. They dropped their final 3 games in horrific fashion because the Defense failed to show up for half the game.

    Make any excuse you want.

-Lack of talent (even though before the season many thought we upgraded from 2008 in the talent area)
-injuries (that really didn't come until the midpoint of the year)
    -Players out of position.

    It doesn't matter.

Cam Cameron had all the same issues after going 1-15. He had the injuries, lack of talent excuses too, but anyone who knew a lick about football, who saw that 2007 team knew that Cam Cameron was not the right guy for the job.

This is very similar. Pasqualoni put out a failing product this year. They were like a deer in headlights right out of the gate against Atlanta and against Indy. They collapsed in almost every 4th quarter in the 1st half of the season.

Good coaching can mask lack of talent. Hell, Belicheck threw TROY BROWN at DB in 3 playoff games and won a superbowl. Paul Pasqualoni did not get anything out of this group of players, and that's a concern in itself. I'll repeat, good coaches get the best out of players. Just ask Dick Lebeau, who could turn a UPS driver into a pro-bowl Linebacker.

I thought Haley and Lee are the heir apparents to Henning and Pasqouloni.

And its been that way for years, especially on offense despite having RBs that can catch.
