Not a traitor...see actually I win in a way either way....if UNC loses, I can give Byroan heck about it in a fun way, but if they win, ACC wins....so hard for me to pull for UNC but hard to pull against them....I would like the trophy to stay in the ACC....but if UNC is not good enough or going to play good enough to accomplish that, then I am all for them losing now....but I am not going to give Byroan and co. fodder to come back at me if UNC wins.....honestly, IF they get past KU...I really and truly don't think they beat Memphis.

I am just trying to say what I am seeing in this game honestly and without jeering anyone.

But I think KU has run themselves out the first half. BTW, I despise KU as much as Kentucky and Maryland ....and the one player I despise the most was that Blake kid that played at Maryland...

Great rivalry. and very exciting to look forward to it each year.

And I don't consider it being a traitor really wanting the championship to stay in the ACC.

 

Most of my in law side of the family if not all, are UNC fans....so you can imagine the heck I catch.

 

I know....no probs here. I understood...I am trying to remain politically correct so that Finsgirlie does not strike with that same venom she hit Melbourne with.....<ducking>

Like Finsgirlie said about unspoken respect, none of the teams in the final 4 I really care about, and the one that I figure I should hope to win is UNC as they are ACC....but believe me, if Duke was in it, I'd be talking all kinds of stuff..haha....

 

My youngest son is a cowboys fan and eldest is Packers...my daughter tho, she swiped that clearance Fathead Zach Thomas that I ordered for ME and made me put it on her wall..haha....I took her to the HOF in 2005 and she met Marino and been a Fns fan since, and she was only 7 then.

You will prob hate me for this but I am a huge Astros fan when I watch Baseball,....but would you guys please take Clemmons back..we don't need that drama....haha..t

 

Thanks, most of my serious ribbing, when I do it, is meant mainly for Byroan, not other UNC fans, He lives about 1.5-2 hrs from me....and we kid each other over the years about the rivalry...t

 

Not a good start for the 2nd half..

 

Everyone here is a braves fan....I worked push boats out of Houston ship channel many years ago and met one of the stros back then..can't remember his name tho, played 2nd base in the late 70's early 80's. Met ole Earl Campbell too..Oilers were my 3rd fav NFL team till they moved.

 

Byroan? I could have swore he was a Heels fan.

 

Well for what it's worth, I don't care who it is or how great a player they are or may become, I really think they should all have to stay and fulfill their educational commitment and finish college....Education is more important....something to fall back on if you sustain a career injury, God forbid, in the first pro season...I just don't agree with using college as a springboard to get to the pros..finish your education and there will always be the pros...but just my thoughts.

Well they have gotten it back into reach. I would like to see UNC vs Memphis, but I am afraid Memphis is going to be tough...I thought they said in the earlier game memphis players were all 6'3 or taller...not sure....but they are playing tough this year.

 

Definitely...if you want to go pro, just forget the college and go straight in like Kobe and Lebron and others.

I hated it for Coach K, and D. Smith....think about the plans they make for these kids they recruit, and prob a 4 year plan to fully develop them and not do it in 1 or 2 years, and then the kid has a breakout year his 2nd year and goes pro, like Corey Magette did a few years back, can't stand him and he is a duke guy, and he has not done much at all in the pros. but think how discouraging to the coaches that is when the development plan for these kids is trashed by the kids going pro early....I don't see how Coach K doesn't just throw up his hands and retire....Kids come in because he is a good coach and then desert him and his development of them....
I wonder if that did not have a role in Dean Smith's retirement...I had a lot of respect for Dean, as much as for Coach K....t

Well one thing if Memphis won, would be that a new/diff team won it, other than the usuals Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas...a different name.

 

I'd just be happy if they got it back and it was a nail biter the last 5 minutes...

Well you aren't so bad Fingirl, I had my reservations because you are in the medical field. My ex wife was an LPN when I married her, and she used me to get her RN education and license and promptly split, basically admitting that was the only reason she married me, so from that day on, I despised nurses...but you are ok..t

 

It's not over till that buzzer sounds...still could be KU, or UNC...No way would I call it this early.
