Rizzi being connected to Rutgers HC job

    You need to pay for the premium membership to get access to the Rivals article, but the top story on the Rutgers site says it all.

    We finally get a decent ST's coach and now he could be gone, ugh.

    Well, shoot, Steve Crosby is still unemployed, but it would be better to keep Rizzi in place.

    Though I've yet to hear if anything has happened with Dave Fipp, who was a fine ST coordinator in SF prior to Harbaugh's arrival.

    That would suck for us if he left. He's done well here.

    One of the reasons Shiano left the HC job is because he was told there would be athletic budget cuts at Rutgers .That will affect coaching hires and ultimately recruiting IMO.

    Not a good time for Rizzi to change jobs .

    Knowing the AD, it will be a big named coach if he can land one first.

    A little birdie told me Rizzi is not in the running for Rutgers. Pat Flaherty the Giants O-line coach is one of the candidate, which would make sense with the O-line prospects they have.
