Our own Tim Graham has written something on Ricky Williams. Here is the last of it: Now read the rest of it here
That sounds like typical Parcells hopefully Ricky has enough left for this year, as I don't have faith that Ronnie is gonna stay healthy.
That's a really cool subtle gesture on Parcells part. A boon of a story at this point in the offseason. Thanks for posting it. Tim Graham just earned my respect for his journalism by writing something fresh and uplifting in this horrid week for covering the NFL. Really heartwarming picture of Ricky in that article at his Easter charity event. He's matured so much. You just know he'll continue to develop as a human being even after his playing days and the city of Miami will be very lucky if he sticks around.
I am glad to see Parcells motivating players to be better. I am glad Ricky is doing great things. The sky is the limit for him.
Whether or not he has enough gas in his tank is debatable. He showed last year that he had enough to carry the load, but he certainly waned late in the season and none of us can deny that. I really hope it doesn't come to him having to try to prove he does later in the season again. Afterall, Bill isn't exactly a fuel station particularly in mid season.... I love the motivational tools that the Tuna uses, and that was an appropriate symbolic use of one, not just for Ricky but for the rest of the team. The one thing is that eventually, our overall lack of talent brought the team crashing down. We've improved that, albeit mostly with youngsters. Now we have to see if these kids like Misi, Wake, Clemons, Odrick, Merling, Hartline, etc are really ready to take the next step...
Tuna is a master motivator, and I hope a lot of that is rubbing off on Tony Sparano. Good read, thanks for posting it.
