No secret who my favorite Fin is, although I am developing a man crush on Pennington more and more. I truly hope things continue going well for Ricky. So far.... he is truly a good example of how things can get so messed up so quickly for someone, but, it can also be turned around with hard work, dedication, and making better decsions.
I just think that most of us realize that ricky has a good heat, that is why we forgive. The R n R express is on full steam...dam they are a dangerous combination.
Hopefully, in the coming weeks more holes like that will open up. The running game has been pretty stagnant the last couple weeks so if Ricky can keep that up and Ronnie can get going again this will be a very, very dangerous team.
Ronnie is and will be our feature back for years to come. That being said, i love that ricky is here and he is certainly playing well for us.
one 100 yrd game(against a stumbling d) since 05 is not getting me riled up about ricky..when he starts doing it consistantly then i'll be a little more excited. albiet it can be hard to get in that groove when your splitting snaps all game(ricky always seemed to get better as the game went on into the 4th qrtr) to keep both r&r fresh but that just says he should be doin better than he has due to being freshlegged.
he had 94 yards or so against NE and has played better than Ronnie lately. Did I mention 4.4 ypc vs. Ronnie's 3.9? Its hard to get a groove on and looks like when they feed him, he did.
We ran Ricky enough to learn, he had the profound ability/gift, that when fed the ball enough, was generally able to attack an offense, learn its vulnerablilities, and with decent blockers, eventually exploit, or drive through opponents, week to week, as an offense unto himself. Though he's likely lost the stamina to carry a 16 game season, I don't doubt he still has the ability, nor that he wants to pull that cart again, its just fortunate that this team doesn't require him to, because I honestly believe he would, with the same resolve if his number was called.
