this is gonna be great.... and then... Norv responds If Norv friggin Turner pwns you, you really are getting raped...
I've been thinking about this Pauly, I think Ryan just put a very serious foot in his mouth...That is downright disrespectful and something that I think could really start a backlash, and has absolutely 0 advantage for his own team could draw from, and If I was a charger, it would completely motivate me to play the hardest I could possibly play..I would be a seething dog if I were them..and the reaction from the always PC coach Turner only shows that he feels the same..Wow... I would bet the chargers in this game.
This is news? Ryan thinks he should have a couple of rings now with the Jets, a team that has far less talent than those SD teams. Ryan has a ton of confidence in himself and he doesn't have a filter. He was asked this question for the sole purpose of getting that answer. I am not even sure how he was supposed to answer that. "Well, I think if I had coached them they would have underperformed just like they did for Norm." Good luck getting that out of Ryan. And the ironic thing is that Ryan probably would have had a ring had he been the coach in 2009. How in the world did a rookie coach, with a rookie QB with all of 16 games under his belt (and one season as a college starter), go into San Diego's own stadium and beat them? Inexcusable. Turner should have been fired for that. That San Diego team was much more talented than the Jets. Now if the SD players want to rally around the coach, here's a novel idea. Win an f'ing playoff game. I think Turner sucks as a head coach. Ryan was spot on with his comments.
There are things that Ryan does I don't agree with. For instance, I'm not really a foot fetish type guy. The way he handled this though I like, he took blame for his comments and credited Norv with a good comeback instead of trying to one up him.
