    You said:
So, by going to the AFC Championship as a wild card 2 years straight is underachieving, according to you, because why? By doing it once you think they overachieved, but twice in a row means they underachieved? Simply because they were a wild card both years? Also how does doing this two years in a row prove that they were good enough to go further, as in reach the Super Bowl? Their talent level indicated that they were overachieving to just reach the AFC Championship. They were underdogs in both games that led to their reaching the AFC Championship, and also underdogs to win either Championship game. Their talent level did not improve the 2nd season they did it, so how does it prove they were really better than that, as in "good enough to go further? A low pct of teams that reach the conference championship are wild cards, so a certain wild card team, in this case the Jets, does it two years straight, and they were underachieving, according to you, by doing it a 2nd straight season? It appears to me that your hatred for Rex Ryan and the Jets has clouded your judgement.

It would be more logical to me, if a #1 or #2 seed reached the AFC Championship 2 straight years and lost both times, to say that team was underachieving.

    That's better...a real conversation.

Getting there once when not even winning your division, could be chalked up to a fluke. Like they got all the good breaks by being lucky and catching good teams on their worst days, so chances are they overachieved (or at least an argument can be made for overachieving). Getting there again, the next year, means it wasn't a fluke, means you are good enough to get there, because the chances of getting that lucky 2 years in a row is slim. So, if they are good enough to get to the AFC Championship twice in a row, then they should have been good enough to win the division (not winning the division by a team in the final four 2 years in a row, is underachieving) and being good enough to get the AFC championship twice in a row, means you should be good enough to get to the big game. Any of the final four are good enough to go further and if they don't 2 years in a row or more, then they underachieved.

Westhoff retired right after the season and had some choice words about the Jets on they handle Tebow, Sanchez and more:

    It's a fun read:
