I'm glad to have him back, and if anything that entire situations shows how Parcells and Ireland can flat out run rings around any GM we've had since Bobby Beathard was running things in the 70's.
This was truly a stroke of pure genius by Parcells and Ireland. We get a 2nd round DP, get a motivated JT back and w/o costing us any DP's and at about 1/5th of the salary. We now have a FO that is just flat brilliant, man it feels good to type that!
When JT was dealt, there was alot of Now he's back and instead of being a Pro Bowler, he is a piece in the machine, that is how far we have come, you'd be hard pressed to find an offseason guide that shows Jason Taylor starting in a projected lineup. In July of 08 though...not so much...Parcell's played things perfectly, and over the 08 season, Ireland just found pieces that fit when we needed them.
when this trade happened it just forced me to accept that it was year one of a 2-3 year rebuilding plan...the playoffs was a pleasant surprise .
