How is it any different then changing a tag on a player? Since the salary cap doesn't go in affect until the restructure deadline you should have until the deadline to decide.

it's different in that in the NFL, if you restructure a contract with a player, you can't go back and say "oh sorry, we're going back to your original contract, forget this over took place." you can remove tags up until a certain point in the NFL as well. Sorry bro, it's not like it wasn't in the rules to begin with.

Chiefs are restructuring Brandon Flowers from $10,500,000 to $5,250,000

.... leaving Berry, Hali, and Bowe as trade options if Rev so sees fit.

I'm sorry... but that's honestly not a technicality... unlike schisno and his loopholes :shifty:

So if there were no restructure rule, everyone would have 5 bids for the first 72 hours and Chris Long may not have made $20M.

well, if NO, Wash and Dall don't put a restructure down in the next 55 mins or so, they'll have five bids, while the rest of the GML has 4 (for that 72 hour period)... unless they are a high bid on a resign player of course.

I'm not sure how that relates to Chris Long. I would have bid on him no matter the restructure rules.
