I'd say he also has really strong hands. It ain't purty and all that, but I saw several plays where he just locked on to Johnson in pass pro and it was over. Remember one play where Johnson got under him a little, got leverage and stood him up, but even so Colombo held his ground. Folks seem to want to overlook the fact he played 2010 on one good leg after August knee surgery. Less dedicated men would have said fvck it and shut it down for the season. Colombo chose to gut it out and do the best he could. If his knee is all the way back to as healthy as it can be considering the many times he's been cut on, then we maybe could see the 2009 version of him which wasn't so bad.
Serious question, have you watched the two preseason games? If so, have you focused on John Jerry? He hasn't shown much of anything and it in real danger of not even making the 53 man roster. I watch the games a 2nd time , to focus on the OL. You want to know one backup OL we got that can really block well? Matt Kopa! He has committed a couple of penalties, but when I watch him run blocking, this guy locks on, sustains and gets movement consistently. If it were up to me, he'd be one of the reserve linemen.
