Recently lost some money gambling....

Whatever you do, don't bet on the Dolphins. There are all sorts of question marks right now.

If anything, bet against your team in small amounts. If they win, you're happy. If they lose, you have a consolation prize.

There are a lot of different organizations that can help you with this. I know I've had the feeling before. Consider what happens if you lose the next bet? You'll be out $1600. Then what will you do? Bet $1200 on something else? It's a very slippery slope my friend. It sounds to me like there is no way you should be betting right now.

I think if I lost this bet than I would be able to walk away for good. I probably won't make the bet now but I am still considering it.

Walking away for good is a long time, it sounds easier than it is. I hope you won't make the bet if you can't afford to lose it. Here's a website with some good info on problem gambling, which entails chasing losses.

So you're saying the Heat are going to chip away at my savings account until there's nothing left during the first half of the season?

This is how Ive felt many many times, but what I learned was chasing was a sure fire way to go broke. I remember being 21 years old and in the middle of the biggest losing streak of my life.....I bet $1900 (what I was down) on a Northwestern/Minnesotta CBB game, and the miracle came through. Had I lost I wouldve caught a serious beat down or maybe even death.... But the whole game I kept wondering how the f--- did it get to that point.

I dont suggest it but then again Ive been there and I know how you feel....

But even though Miami is better than Buffalo thats not always how the cookie crumbles on the road in the NFL.

If your going to do it......and likey you will, lets see if we can find you a bit better of an option.

Thanks for the advice everybody. I'm still deciding on whether I'm going to bet or not. Leaning towards not.

see you should have bet. always go with your first instinct

I was going to bet, but then bodog wouldn't take my card for some reason. I tried using my debit card instead of credit card. FML

I would have been sweating my ass off the entire game though....lol

I was thinking about you watching them punt. That would have been a horrible game for you to watch if you would have bet. :lol:

I learned NEVER bet on your team, or against them for that matter.... They lose then you are pissed even more...

I never bet with on the Rays or Dolphins because I always bet with my heart with them...and I usually lose
