Its no secret the Rams new GM is a big fan of hybrid defenses, this year looks to be no different.

The first clue was the hiring of Steelers LB's coach Keith Butler in the offseason, then today he acquired what looks to be 2 LB's for his 3-4 system. "Keith really liked Brandon (Graham) coming out, we feel like he can be our Lamar Woodley" the former 1st RD pick out of Michigan is excited to join the team and a chance to fill the role that many felt suited him better.

Also acquired in the deal was the Eagles WILL LB Brian Rolle who in his first season out of Ohio State gained the starting role in week 4 and became a very consistent player in his rookie season. Rolle played better than people expected in coverage and may have a knack for the big play with an impressive strip, recovery, TD of Bears RB Matt Forte.

"We feel like we just got two young starters with high ceilings" the new GM explained to the media in a PC. "This team is filled with 3-4 talent if you ask me"

The Rams plan on meeting with Chris Long later in the week to discuss his new role in the 3-4, Long had a career high in sacks this season with 13 including 3 on Drew Brees in the Rams upset of N.O, Chris also led the NFL in QB disruptions for the 2nd straight season and was a Pro Bowl alternate. It is speculated that Long could be either traded, asked to bulk up and be a JJ Watt type 3-4 DE, or even move to OLB where he could continue to wreak havoc on the opposition.
