Well this settles it, Miami is NOT tanking.
He's probably your #4 ILB on a team that's probably generally only going to field one true linebacker at a time, but I think there's something to be said for putting a guy out there in situations where all your gaps are filled by down linemen and letting him play.
He played a bit last year if I recall
Think he missed the majority of the season - I want to say MCL injury - then came back late in the season. As Carmen said, great special teams contributor
I would say the likelyhood of him ever becoming more than he has been is minimal. He's going to be 28 and is a career ST player (and not even a great ST player). Basically a temporary fortification until the team can bring in better players.
I think we're going to see a lot more of these deals over the next couple years.

He is a backup that could start if needed. More or less, that is who he is.
