Game starts at 4:30 p.m. today. Think this should be a good game today.

Who do you guys think will win today? What will the score be?

    I'm going with...
    Titans 27
    Ravens 24

You beat me to making the thread.

I think the Ravens might win I've got that feeling. Even though I said different the other day.

The titans C is out so I've got a bad feeling for TN about inside pressure.

There is one reason I favor the Ravens: injuries.

Kevin Mawae, arguably the best center in the league and 1st team All-Pro - is out! That is huge given how powerful the Ravens D is up front - as we saw last week.

Also both Haynesworth and Vandenbosch are playing but basically "questionable." That hurts a bit as well.

This is a LOS game. Whoever is able to run more effectively and pass block will win. Given the injuries to the Titans I have to favor the Ravens - though I'm rooting for the Titans.

    Ravens 20, Titans 16.

    TD TN!

I think the difference in this game will be the QBs for once... I should've stuck with my gut with TN.

The option to defer didn't exist until this year. Only in college.

Just lost a lot of respect for Ed REed. He wasn't trying to strip the ball from Johnson, he was trying to break his back.

The option to defer the choice has existed in amateur football for several years. Prior to 2008, the NFL required the winner of the toss to exercise its option in the first half, but a rules change allows the team winning the toss to defer starting with the 2008 season. Thus the winner of the toss may now choose to go first on offense for the start of the first or second half.

some of the ravens players are just dirty. it's frustrating. and i would have said that before they beat us too, not just being a sore loser. hope the titans whip them in the 2nd half

There has always been a choice at coin toss to kick or receive....kicking first has always gotten the ball second no?

95 yards out of Justin Gage in the 1st half. That's how to compete with the Ravens. Hit their depleted CB crew with a big WR.

In the NFL...no...not until the 2008 season.

    anlgp ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A

    That's not the rule.

The rule is you can defer your choice not just choose whether you are kicking or receiving.

Example if you kicked the other team automatically gets it but with this new rule you can say you want to kick in the second half.

    It's different.

they are dragging guys off the field now, this is one heck of a physical game.

Whomever wins, Pittsburgh will have the advantage, the ravens lost Rolle and Suggs, Kearsy and Haynesworth and Rook Johnson all had to leave the field.

That last catch by Gage is exactly what I want here. Collins was under pressure, lobbed it up and Gage made a leaping catch for the 1st down on 3rd and long.

The Titans are just being far to careless with the ball...they seem to lack a bit of focus.

The Titans are carrying the ball like a loaf of bread in one arm, it's crazy to see.

That was a bad call. Can you call for a replay on that, I wonder?

But, the tragedy, absolute tragedy of this game is that the Ravens should not even be in it.

The Titans two fumbles inside the 10 yard line are Mortal Sins! Especially Crumpler - don't you think they'd have talked about that after the White fumble? Just awful!

Mentally, the Titans have been terrible.

They have also been severely hurt by the absence of Johnson in the 2nd half.

But, with the Ravens having the ball at the 33 of the Titans, I think the game is over for all intents and purposes. A FG here is a chip shot with this wind and if they hit it, the Titans will likely have to go at least to the Ravens 20-25 to have a realistic shot to tie, against the wind.

The Ravens got really lucky in this one. They had no idea how to stop Johnson (other than to take cheap shots). And the uncalled delay of game had a huge impact.

I hate all the credit Joe Flacco is getting. I really do. The man has the easiest job in the NFL. He throws the ball 15-20 times a game. All he does is hand the damn ball off, let his team punt and throw deep balls and outs against man-to-man coverage that's it. Yet, he still makes mistakes, which haven't cost him. He let's the defense win the game. That's it. He's the new Trent Dilfer.

    "Hello?"
    "Hey Trent, its Joe."
"Oh hey joe, congrats on the win!"
"Yeah, man. and you know what? it was SO easy! i didn't have to do ANYTHING!"
"LOLZ. sounds about right. just keep handing the ball off and punting and you'll win a super bowl, like me!"
