ronnie is at 22? 9 Ryan Grant RB GB 11 Marshawn Lynch RB Buf Grant at 9 and Lynch 11? all of his credibility just went out the window. http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/story/8193680/Rotter's-rankings:-Top-500?FFBPAR&promocode=072308MSHPFFBLNKNNTP>1=39002
Top 500 players? Why bother ranking an entire half of the NFL. But ya Lynch is a joke to be there. Grant is a little more respectable, but def not that high.
Well technically these are fantasy football rankings so that could be a factor in how the ratings were made. Either way in terms of players there isn't a way that Lynch should be over Peyton Manning. The main reason being that Lynch has a criminal charge over his head which could cause him trouble for the upcoming season. Also Manning is the cog that runs his team and is in my opinion the best QB in the league and in terms of fantasy football he is a top 3 points getter. For some reason Lynch is a NFL "experts" (which I use loosely) favorite which I have never been able to understand when he hasn't proved much yet. Lynch is like Laurence Maroney of NE who gets much less attention (yeah I just defended a NE player ). As for Ryan Grant being that high they must be crazy because with Rodgers now taking the snaps in GB defenses will be focusing on Grant which will lead to a decline in his numbers. I can understand why Ronnie is at #22 simply because he is injury prone and if I were drafting him in a fantasy league I would be very weary. In terms of pure NFL talent he is to me the third best RB in the league when healthy behind Ladainian Tomlinson and Adrian Peterson.
It's a fantasy ranking. The first clue (other than the word Fantasy in the link) being Manning at 15. If it was a real draft, it'd be all QBs at the beginning. Brady, Manning, Brees etc instead of RBs. Brown is at 22, well becuase one, he's coming off injury, and two, he'll be sharing carries with Ricky, which will take away some of his fantasy numbers.
Lynch is a top-5 fantasy RB because he plays in a run-first offense, with one of the best offensive lines in the league, and he is young and talented. Another thing people need to consider is that Lynch isn't splitting carries. How many RBs in the NFL can you say that for? Thats why Grant is up there too.
As everyone has already said, these rankings make perfect sense for fantasy. Lynch and Grant are two of the few RBs who probably won't be splitting any carries. Where was Stephen Jackson on the list? I can't see the article. As far as why they are ahead of Peyton, Peyton isn't the best fantasy QB anymore. He's very consistent, but not consistently great.
I def don't have Lynch as a top 5 fantasy RB. 1. LT 2. Westbrook 3. AP (him and Jackson could interchange) 4. Jackson 5. Addai 6. Portis 7. Gore 8. Edge 9. Grant Others Id think of putting ahead of Lynch are : Barber, LJ, Maroney, McGahee, Rudi Johnson. How many other RBs don't share carries? I'd say 14-16. Sure every RB gets spelled once in awhile but I'm talking like 70%+ of carries.
Yeah, not top 5. Just off the top of my head in front of him are LT Adrian Peterson Brian Westbrook Stephen Jackson Joseph Addai
Lynch is high up there due to the inconsistent QB play. Brown is 22, IMO because he will be sharing the load with Williams.
I disagree with Lynch being in the top 5 in fantasy leagues. I could see him in the 10-15 range because of how the Bills aren't that great of a team on offense with a shaky o-line and a shaky QB situation. I would list Stephen Jackson, Frank Gore, Larry Johnson, Ladainian Tomlinson, Joseph Addai, Willis McGahee, Jamal Lewis (last year), and Brian Westbrook all above Lynch and those are guys that are exclusive ball carriers for their team and take a heavy majority of the snaps. Then I would take Adrian Peterson, Ronnie Brown, and Willie Parker splitting snaps over Lynch. Take all that into account and Lynch is my 12th RB maybe 11th depending on how Jamal Lewis is in bad shape before the season starts. So as the 12th best RB in fantasy (and reflects well onto the league in this case) he definitely wouldn't be ahead of Manning in any regards as far as importance in the league goes.
