He is to start immediately. Now on the totem pole of life, McDaniels going back to New England does not mean much but along with McDaniels comes Brandon Loyd which adds another good receiver for 2012 and beyond to New Englands Roster.

Lloyd is a UFA who said he'd sign where ever McDaniels went.

This. Yep, unless Kroenke backs up a dump truck load full of Money and even then, he stated just last week he would like to play where ever McDaniels is coaching. Doubt NE will break the bank on him but they will surely pay the man.

He's actually on staff and helping the team now?

And I take this as a sign that Fisher will be the Rams coach.

Starts Monday as an assistant until season ends, then officially OC.

How is this allowed to happen? You can just hire a coach from another team during the playoffs and have him work for you? I've never heard of this before.

The Patriots are allowed to do whatever the Patriots want.

Rams gave McDaniels permission to get out of his contract and talk to whichever team of his choice, of course it was the Pats. Rule states that coaches on playoff teams may interview for jobs but cannot be hired by another team until after the playoffs. No rule against playoff teams hring coaches from another team that is not in the playoffs.

It may be a sign Fisher wants to choose his own staff in St. Louis if he accepts the job there. Fisher is visiting Rams park tomorrow in Earth City Mo. Thats their practice facility. He did his interview in DENVER.

Yep, could be yet another season of suck for the Dolphins as fmr coaches and players go elsewhere, and have great success, normally beating us in the process.
