Hands down the best voice in the history of sports, the Voice of God....debuted on an April day in 1951 in a 5-0 win against the Red Sox. As well, some guy named Micky Mantle had his first game that day... First lineup card from that game, amazing names on here, 8 HOF'ers (bolded)....he also did Giant football games, boxing matches, and a host of other sporting event.....truly one of a kind, and will be missed certainly Red Sox: CF: Dom DiMaggio RF: Billy Goodman LF: Ted Williams* 3B: Vern Stephens 1B: Walt Dropo 2B: Bobby Doerr* SS: Lou Boudreau* C: Buddy Rosar P: Billy Wright Yankees: LF: Jackie Jensen SS: Phil Rizzuto* RF: Mickey Mantle* CF: Joe DiMaggio* C: Yogi Berra* 1B: Johnny Mize* 3B: Billy Johnson 2B: Jerry Coleman P: Vic Rashi [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vj434vCtNRw"]YouTube- Bob Sheppard Tribute, Yankee Stadium, 5/7/2000[/ame]
