I would suggest starting with a video camera...preferably a digital one. Whats the sumise your your venture? I know there are some really talented members in regards to films and the arts....I however dont even come close to qualifying to be one of those....
um, there are a lot of videos on you tube. but you can make something with blender. blender.org i think or blender.com
if you have vista, try using Windows Video Maker. oh, and theres a forum for questions. its called the questions and answers forum.
