Injuries, coaching change, maybe these things affected his game, but the bottom line is,when we're talking undrafted free agents, it's a great signing for this coaching staff, your trusting this particular staff and some other familiar variables for the prospect, that might just turn out in your favor, the mind of a young athlete is fragile sometimes, for some players, it can go either way depending on some circumstances, and I really like the chances with his talent, here on this squad, more than any other situation he could of possible gone to. Watching that game against Peterson at Lsu alone is worthy of the signing, he had a bit of swagger against a highly skilled defender, and was effective.
Totally agree about Fuller. @008, 2009 and 2010 he was A&M's best receiver ever. All-time leader. But that darn last year just killed him (And A&M). Injury and coaching change with the anticipation of being drafted high probably hurt Fuller. IF he regains his form, Miami will have gotten a steal! Jeff is big and very physical - and he had serious hands of glue his first three years. Maybe he's gotten the wake-up call. Ryan Swope - Senior WR from Texas A&M. He's a speed merchant with straight line speed. No one has ever caught him from behind in three years. Is not shifty, but he's strong and if he sheds the first tackler it is a foot race that he will win (in college). Has very good hands and runs good patterns. Is coachable and smart (came back for his Sr. season even though all his coaches left/fired). People will try to compare him to Wes Welker but they are not nearly the same. Welker is "sudden" and "abrupt" where Swope is faster, taller and more muscular than Welker. The longhorns and A&M did not recruit Welker becuse he was smallish and did not have the speed - LOL. Fuller is more like Plaxico Burress. Swope will make a solid pro WR. Slot crossing pattern, shed first tackler and boom he's off.
