04/20/08 - We found the Auburn defensive end a week before the NFL draft we wanted to know about this ``heart surgery'' we wrote about a few weeks ago. ``It was,'' Groves said Saturday, ``an outpatient procedure.'' Oh. Well, we can't remove the previous scary headline, but the news does seem quite good. Groves, who some say will be a first-round pick next weekend, has hardly missed a beat after the March 27 procedure to fix a rapid heart beat. He's still working out for NFL teams. ``It was just a procedure that I needed to get done,'' Groves said. `` A lot of teams are giving me positive feedback about it. It's not really big, but it's big because it's your heart.'' NFL teams don't seem to be too worried about the procedure. Groves has been working out around the country - and has impressed. Some teams like him at defensive end. Most like him at linebacker. Groves has visited Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Cleveland, Miami, New England, ``both of the New Yorks'' and, Friday, he visited the San Francisco 49ers, and found Auburn teammate and draft hopeful Pat Sims there, too. ``Things have gone real well,'' Groves said. - Charles Goldberg, Birmingham News
