That's what I would do, too. We have a handful of positions that could use an upgrade into the playmaking ability category (including Oline if that player helps directly lead to bigger plays), so I'd likely go with the guy who offers the greatest playmaking potential.

-If Kendall Wright drops and we haven't addressed WR via FA, then I'd have a hard time passing on him. I'm of the belief that if you have a chance to take a game-changer like Wright, you do it. IMO he's a perfect compliment to Marshall, and his versatility in being able to play multiple receiver positions would allow our offense to be that much harder to defend as well as allowing for both he and Gates to see the field simultaneously.

**If we draft Barkley, I'd skip Wright b/c I'm not sure if he can utilize Wright's full potential.

**If we draft RG3, then Wright would be a massive priority IMO, probably priority number 1, and I'd even consider trading up to get him b/c of how well those 2 pair up and compliment each other. The RG3-Wright combo in this offense with our current personnel might trump Vick-DeSean Jackson. Think of Wright & Gates on the outside with RG3's vertical accuracy. That would open up all sorts of problems for defenses underneath (and vertically), including designed dump offs to Bush behind them while Marshall grabs the LBs' attention. Currently, I think Bush is less effective in the passing game b/c defenses can still afford to shade a safety to Brandon, making it easier for LBs to pay attention to Bush out of the backfield b/c they're less concerned with Fasano beating them (which IMO is one reason we're seeing Fasano with some bigger plays than normal; defenses are allowing it b/c Anthony represents the lesser of all evils.) If we have another vertical threat WR opposite Gates who's also capable of drawing safety coverage while Marshall (in the slot) hogs the LBs and helps keep the safety honest, an upgraded #1 TE helping cause further hesitation or confusion among LBs & safeties, then Bush would be able to more easily slide into the vacated spots behind Gates & Wright, and defenses would have a harder time stopping it b/c they'd be less aware of what side he's likely going to, and they'd have less resources to stop it. That type of threat would create opportunities all over the field IMO.

**If we draft Tannehill, I'd definitely consider drafting Wright if he drops, but I wouldn't trade up for him.

-Outstanding pass rushers with great upside aren't easy to find, so Brandon Jenkins & Bruce Irvin would merit high consideration because our defense is our biggest strength, and we should be doing everything we can to keep it that way, especially if we happen to be developing a rookie QB.

-A big time G/RT addition would help Bush & Thomas reach their fullest playmaking potential. If Cordy Glenn drops, he should deserve high consideration (and possibly Osemele).

-The FS/CB scenario that CK mentioned should definitely be considered. The talent at CB in the top of the draft should push some quality CBs to the early 2nd round who might normally not escape the 1st round.

    - If the above positions offer little regarding BPA, then I'd look at TE with Dwayne Allen & Coby Fleener, and the QB we take in round 1 would determine which TE I'd take. If we go RG3 or Tannehill, I'd be more inclined to take Fleener so we'd have a better vertical threat to stretch the field, could better utilize RG3's vertical accuracy, provide a bigger target for Tannehill, and create more space underneath for our playmakers. If we take Barkley, I'd probably go with Allen b/c he's a better inline blocker, can move better in tight spaces, & would be more appropriately paired with Barkley's arm & accuracy in the short-intermediate range (including designed roll outs) where Dwayne excels. I'd rather be in the situation to draft BPA at another position and then look at a tall, playmaking TE in round 3 or 4 with maybe Ladarius Green.

If we go Barkley in round 1, then my round 2 desire would be to first look at bolstering the defense with either the top pass rusher or S/CB. If there's no decisive BPA on defense, then I'd next look at building Barkley's protection since he's not the mobile QB that RG3 or Tannehill are and as such will need a little more secured protection to survive. There should be enough Guards & RTs available to find someone of value.

** With Barkley, IMO Hartline's value would increase a little b/c he's heady, has decent acceleration, runs great routes, and as such would pair well with Barkley's accuracy, intelligence, and timing. Bess's value would increase again, too, for similar reasons, but these certainly wouldn't be my reasons for drafting Barkley; then'd be my reasons for not necessarily taking a WR in round 2. However, IMO we'd be more of a dink-dunk, clock management, occasionally beating you over the top with play-action type offense. IMO we'd have a difficult time putting up a ton of points or winning shootouts, and it'd be less exciting; we'd have difficulty recovering from larger deficits; and we'd need to make sure the Oline was bolstered to effectively run the ball against stout defenses and teams that choose to stack the box in order to take away the run and subsequent play action ability b/c Barkley won't scare teams vertically. IMO with Barkley, the offense's success would be dependent on more variables than with RG3; however if those variables are in place, the offense has a chance to be quite effective while eating up the clock so the defense can stay fresh.

If we go Griffin or Tannehill, then I'm probably looking at getting them a weapon to help keep as much attention away from them as possible and to help make early life in the NFL as easy as possible while they're developing, so I'd be inclined to go playmaking WR/TE if available (Wright or Fleener), but I wouldn't reach for someone if they (or a similar talent) aren't available. Next I'd look at pass rusher/S/CB (if Smith can move to FS).... and lastly I'd look at RT/G.

As a Baylor alum/football player, you know Irish is probably watching RG3 every chance he gets and is possibly looking for every reason to draft him rather than reasons not to. It's a match made in heaven. lol.

Maybe that's why Ireland appears to have so much interest in Barkley. Perhaps the degree to which he appears to desire Barkley is a direct representation of how much he actually covets Griffin. IMO the more he secretly covets Griffin, the more he'll openly gush about Barkley. The less he covets Griffin, the less he'll be inclined to speak up about Barkley.

Until I watch more film, bowl games, senior/junior bowl, etc, I'm salivating over RG3, Wright, and a athletic future #1 TE who can get vertical.

With Griffin, I'd opt to use this draft to maximize his talent & potential b/c he gives us the ability to become a high scoring offense.
With Barkley, I'd opt for bolstering the defense b/c I see Barkley as an NFL game-manager who would need a great & more consistent defense behind him.

Regardless, I feel RB3 is a better long term fit for our offense and defense b/c IMO he'd allow our defense to keep attacking and keep the pressure on thanks to Griffin's ability to put up points and strike quickly. Opposing offenses would be forced to operate at a higher level, making them more prone to mistakes against our defense. IMO with Griffin, a few additions on offense would go a longer way to improving both the offense and everyone's overall potential than a few additions to a Barkley run offense.

I still don't see the need to upgrade Fasano. His presence in the passing game and run game truly is upper-echelon in this league. For me, if he would get the amount of looks that say a Jason Witten or Rob Gronkowski got, he wouldn't be that far of from the types of players they are. They aren't "vertical" guys that really beat guys off the ball, say like Jimmy Graham or Jermichael Finley. They do a great job of using their body and their hands. All of which Fasano does and has shown to do here with Matt Moore looking for him.

Personally, I'd be a little unhappy if we went TE early in the draft. I think you can find those guys later in the draft Rd 4+ (Charles Clay in 6th).

I think we need to find ourselves another pass rusher or S in the 2nd round. I think we have a capable RT & RG on our roster. If we don't, we can find one in FA. I think we've been unable to find those pass rusher's & coverage safeties, and we need to utilize the draft for that.

Plus, this defense still has issues closing games, and at those two positions are where you find "closers". Guys that are capable of creating sacks, pressures and others interceptions of passes defended.
