Can someone explain the in's and out's of this thing? I just want to make sure that I'll be able to play the Resistance 2 & Home BETA's in September. I don't really care for Socom, but that would be sweet as well.

Okay Qore is a third party magazine presented by PSN. It isn't a upper tier of PSN service as many thought when it debuted, which is a good thing. Basically what it does is give advance demos, betas, etc. However they later get released on PSN on a regular timed schedule. So its nothing special, IMO.

As for the Resistance 2 Beta people who have pre-ordered the game get the first beta invites as well as other means.

Here is what the official PS Blog says about the Beta and Qore:

That seems to mean you have to be an annual subscriber to Qore to get the Beta invite now but if you buy the single episode you can get it later (which is who knows when). You'll get the invite through email/voucher and not with Qore which further makes it shady for single episode purchasers. Also I would look into some of the other ways of getting it.

    Here is the link:

Also here is a link saying R2 preorders get first chance at the beta (scroll down to it):

As for the Socom Beta it was released I believe with the First Episode of Qore and it had severe problems getting to people but I believe they got it sorted out so I would keep that in mind.

As for the Home Beta there will be an open beta made to everyone this fall (no Qore is needed). Also like another thread I made to get into the expanded closed Beta of Home that starts at the end of this month just log into the PSN Store and download the Home Theme (under Themes/Wall papers or New Releases) and by downloading the theme you have been entered to possibly get an invite into the expanded beta but its not assured. The more activity on PSN helps your chances of getting in.

Here is thread I started further detailing it:

Overall Qore is just a magazine that really helps nothing.
