I'm curious what the thoughts are on him. I'm just getting caught up with him now and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed.
He's seemed to look pretty well, but the team itself isn't great. He impressed me against Ohio State in their opener this year. They hung with the Buckeyes until right before halftime. Even for a MAC School, I'm not sure they have all that great of talent. A couple of kids a few years behind me in high school are on the Redhawks roster. And our school isn't exactly a recruit factory. The most notable is RB Jamire Westbrook (his uncle is the former Eagles RB Brian Westbrook). One of their receivers, Andy Kruse, was in the same conference - played directly against my youngest brother quite a bit - and frankly I'm surprised he is playing D-1 ball. Makes me wonder what Dysert could do with more talent around him. Intriguing backup prospect.
Yeah I think he's an actual NFL prospect at the position which is in itself saying a lot because so many aren't. His decision making is really good but the consistency isn't there on his accuracy especially on the move where it can either be extraordinary or awful...Sanchez-ish. You'd wish he had faster feet too.
Sounds like I need to watch some more of him. For whatever reason, ever since Ben Roethlisberger, Miami has seemed to have at least a fringe NFL prospect. Josh Betts, who came right after Roethlisberger was with the Colts for a few years and is a free agent in the CFL currently. Austin Boucher, Dysert's backup, has gotten some pub, though I think more of that stems from his recruitment process spurning Ohio State's offer or something along those lines, but he's played admirably when called upon. And of course Dysert himself.
