guys I dont know if Miami can turn this around. With a $19M kicker for Tannehill, is it wise to draft a qb:
    Please educate me on:
    Josh Allen
    Josh Rosen
    Sam Darnold
    LaMar Jackson

Again seeing what is happening in LA and Hou, is exciting. Scoring 30 points a game is a long ways away. We would be an exponential improvement if we averaged 16-20 points a game and that is what we are used to

We're not drafting a QB next year. Tannehill will be our QB. If he injures his knee again next year we might draft one in 2019. We will probably draft a linebacker or cornerback with our first, maybe a DE

We won't sniff the first 3. Lamar Jackson is not an NFL QB.

keep thinking we will sit on our hands at qb. if I was a gm or coach banking on the health of that knee, I deserve to lose my job

I'd look at Baker Mayfield at Oklahoma. He's an astute pocket passer and more of a Gase fit, I would have thought.

If Gase is still here at draft time, that is...?

Baker Mayfield would be an excellent pick if hes there in the second round. The guy has all the tools and swagger to become a franchise quarterback. Just a bit undersized but that hasnt stopped brees or russell wilson.

Josh Rosen will be a surefire first round pick, possibly top 10 pick, he can make almost every throw and is a 4th quarter quarterback.

Sam Darnold needs to return to USC, he is not ready for the NFL. If he declares he will be picked top 5, but like Sanchez it may be a huge mistake. This guy has admitted to confidence issues. Love the guy and im a huge usc fan but he isnt ready.

Lamar Jackson is a mistake waiting to happen. Look, the guy is going to be playing quarterback for some team out there and like Vick he will find ways to win with his legs, but just like Vick the guy has the worst passing ability. He has no touch on his throws, the footballs fly out of his hands like missles all the time and they drop like javelins. He will find ways to win some football games but it wont be reliable.

I posted this in response to someone in Club back in early September but I think it's worth re-posting...

Nice write-up, thanks! I am not sure he will be available mid-first though. If Darnold continues to struggle and/or stays in school, he could be the #1 QB on the board. His arm strength and such will not let him drop or get bypassed in the offseason workout warrior phase.

Yep. He's still the best prospect I've seen since Luck. Absolutely love watching him. And UCLA is not FSU or Alabama with their talent level.

this is also a problem I said about Josh Allen when folks were touting him as the # 1 overall pick..

Trade Tannehill to Cleveland so we can move up to get Darnold. It would be a career ender for Ryan but Darnold may have a higher ceiling.

You cannot be serious. He has made so many NFL throws this season. Do you want me to post some clips?

He has all the tools, dude is an impressive player. I don't really get all the hate on him except for the traditional dislike of the "running QB" vs "pocket" QB. For an answer to that, see Watson, Deshaun. If available, he should be in serious consideration. Also like Rosen and Darnold. Allen ... not sure about. Baker Mayfield I am not a fan of though. Overrated.

Mike White WKU. Check him out. Kiper saying 2nd round pick. Not saying Dolphins should draft him, but he is getting good press.

Personally, I think the highest ceiling belongs to Josh Allen. Unfortunately he probably also has the lowest floor. Pure boom or bust but I swear the boom would make me consider him if I was drafting in the 20s. Something about him reminds me of marino
