In 4 games against divisional rivals, we have lost 137-52. We aren't even competitive against teams in our division. The Patriots you expect that from but the Jets and the Bills. Two TD losses in all 3 games. Just unacceptable. This isn't on the refs or Jason Fox or Tannehill or any other one player or thing. This is a failure of an organization and a team. We got dominated in all 3 phases of the game today. Here we are, another half way point through a season, and our we're obviously in rebuilding mode again. I'm sure there will be plenty of dialogue, debate and even fights about what we need to do. When I look at this team, we're getting production from 2-4 players in the last 3 NFL drafts. That is just unacceptable. I know we get frustrated about the schemes, play calls, penalties, refs and other things. The problem with this team is they just aren't good. From starters to special teams to the last 5 guys on our roster, they just aren't good. Outside of our WR's, I'm not sure if one other position group is settled. Miller and Ajayi looked promising today. But you're not going to win football games when your OL is this bad. When you can't stop the run. When you continue to give up big play after big play on pass defense. When your special teams costs you 100+ yards of field position. When you turn the ball over. I think what we're all frustrated about is after a decade plus of rebuilding, we are still pretty much in the same spot.
the owner is a clown. He hires a bunch of staff the Jets don't want and he expected different results.
Keep: Tannehill Miller Ayaji Landry Stills Parker Sims Cameron Pouncey Albert James Turner We need a dynamic starting guard and depth at the tackle position. Keep: Suh Fede Shelby Phillips Jenkins Jones Bobby McCain Kovacs We need a run stuffing defensive tackle or switch to a 3-4, we need a pass rusher all of a sudden off the end, we need a big time playmaker at linebacker, we need some youth and talent added to our secondary.
The only thing really promising about the Miami Dolphins from the ps players too the owner is R. Jones, N.Suh, and Jarvis Landry. And only two of those guys are a special talent...the other one simply wants it more than anyone else in the league.
I actually came away very impressed with Ajayi. We'll have a heck of a RB tandem next season if we can re-sign Miller, build a better OL and bring in an actual NFL offensive coordinator.
We definitely need to re up with Miller, I love what the rookie did today, I'll learn his name soon enough. Use the last half of the season to see who stays and who goes.
If Ajayi does what he did today, you let Miller walk in the off season. I like Miller, but he is going to cost a bunch of money that we don't have. Let Miller walk, let Vernon walk, cut Wake and use that money to fix the severe holes, elsewhere.
It's going to be an interesting offseason. Because of contracts and people we may need to resign, we may actually be worse next year. To your point, I think the biggest problems is the huge holes we have this year and will likely have next year. We have guys starting LG, RG, RT, CB, ILB, S and DT that shouldn't even be starting. It would be one thing if we had this at one or two positions but that is too much to overcome even with the great play of players like Landry, Jones and Suh.
I disagree except for Wake. He's injured, old and expensive. This is why we should've never signed Suh or Tannehill at the price we paid. This is why we should've kept guys like Davis, Smith and Odrick. I'd rather have those guys and Matt Moore with the Tannehill and Suh money spread out to position groups like the OL and LB. We were mediocre before without the big contracts and we're mediocre now with the big contracts. This is why we should've traded down and taken chances on guys like the Honey Badger and Collins. Everybody talks about copying the good teams but nobody follows through in the offseason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
