My PS3 slim is about to be 3 years old this November I think. I tried to play a game today, and had no luck. When I put the disc in the drive I hear a loud "click click" inside the drive and then it doesn't read the disc. Anybody have an idea what's going on or how to fix it?

When electronics click, that generally means they're dead or about to die.

You can call Sony to see if you have any warranty coverage, but you might have to get a new one.

Its weird, because it started working again. I imagine its on its last legs, and I doubt there is any warranty left.

Nah. If this goes I'm done with gaming for a while.

I don't really understand that decision, unless you weren't using the PS3 at all.

I'm getting married in about a year and a half and from a funds dedication standpoint it isn't a priority. That's also why I ultimately decided to wait on a PC, I just couldn't justify the expense.

My condolences; your gaming career is pretty much over. :shifty:
