I love making predictions. It's one of my favorite things about message boards, the beginning of the year, and freedom of speech. You can say anything you want, with respect to others, and use and basis or tool that you'd like--at your own risk.

We're going to be having a Dolphins Contest that allows you to pick the Dolphins Record & who the beat/who they lose to. I'm interested in how Dolphins Fans think the entire NFL season will shake down, relative to the Miami Dolphins. I like the idea of adding one bold prediction too.

I'm curious to know how it is you have NO beating SD, yet Rivers is named the MVP?

it doesn't say super bowl mvp, just regular mvp. it's not always the super bowl winning QB..

That said, my bold prediction is that we'll go 9-7 and barely miss the playoffs due to tiebreakers with the other wildcard contenders

    MVP:
    Phillip Rivers

    Bold Predictions:

Henne finishes with +90 QBR, Bush plays 16 games, we struggle on short yardage runs all year, Marshall is a beast again, JT gets his six sacks, Miami makes the playoffs.
    Washington makes the playoffs.
    St. Louis makes the playoffs.
Detroit and NYJ just miss playoffs due to tie-breakers.
Cincy or Indy (If Manning misses most of season) end up with the worst record.

    INTERESTING AND POSSIBLE
I like to try to spot the teams that will be on the raise this year, the sleepers:
Redskins, Lions,Bills and Raiders will surprise the NFL this year. Redskins could really unleash on the NFL this year.

How are things going to shake out ? hmmmm

Offensive exposed as inadequate ........while having a very formidable defense...

Sparano exposed as inefficient mostly due to the realization by almost everybody by gm. 6 that the offensive line has been a work in progress and shown little progress even with 2 first rd draft picks...

Team will continue it's inconsistency as we've experienced the last couple years....with the defense holding us together by it's finger nails...

Ireland exposed as not being able to see the overall picture and his stubbornness to continue building the offense with bargain over the hill backups and his inability to see the need of sprinkling in quality offensive help to actually help our already suspect QB......Can't understand the guy who helps build a formidable defense and given the opportunity to enhance the weak link "Offense" makes questionable releases RB's, gambling on the success of unknown rookies and bringing in middle of the road players to wishfully believe that there is solid depth, all the while ignoring real quality upgrade that were abundantly available...

Season ends and Ross is force to consider replacement of FO........but he's so dumb I'm not sure he even will get it....
Or Sparano is replaced midway through season due to the complete failure and total fan disappointment and thus hitting Ross were it actually hurts ....the pocket book...

    Don't kill me JMO

Ya I'm sticking my neck out here and will probably get bashed by the in crowd but that the way I see it

And if I'm wrong I will be back to state my poor judgement.hey I hope I'm wrong....

    NFL Top-Ten:

    1 Green Bay Packers
    2 Philadelphia Eagles
    3 New England Patriots
    4 New Orleans Saints
    5 Atlanta Falcons
    6 Pittsburgh Steelers
    7 Baltimore Ravens
    8 Indianapolis Colts
    9 San Diego Chargers
    10 New York Giants

(like the Redskins & Lions as the sleepers of the NFL that could awake & seriously upset some schedules in 2011)

the Dolphins need to establish a running & passing game behind an unestablished offensive line this year.
if they can consistently put points on the board, we have a chance for the play-offs riding our defense to the end.

    My sleepers for this year.

    AFC:
    Miami, Tennessee, Jacksonville, & Cleveland

    NFC:
Washington, Minnesota, & Dallas if you can call them one.

I wanted to pick Washington or Minnesota as a WC team too. However, I think Dallas takes the spot. I think the NFC is turning into what the AFC has been the past few years, mainly because of great, young QB play. Unless there is a significant injury to the QB position, I don't see any way that the Falcons, Saints, Eagles, & Packers don't make the playoffs. That means you've got some pretty solid teams fighting for two spots.

In the AFC, I think it's a little more open this year. Any team from the AFCS could win the division and because the division is fairly even steven, with a couple of injuries or teams not winning games, you could see an 11-5 & 10-6 team come out of there--like some one predicted with Houston & Jacksonville. The defenses are aging in Pitt & Baltimore and we've seen teams capable of coming up in that division like Cincy & Cleveland before. The AFCE really has 3 tough, physical teams and I think either the Jets, Patriots, or Dolphins could win the division.

I'm going to go 11-5. I was going 10-6 but am choosing the road less traveled.

To go two steps further, I think we start the season at 3-1, although I would be OK with 2-2. The Pats are no longer a scary team. Brady is still a great, not GREAT QB, and I think he lost a bit in avoiding the rush (JT is gonna nail him for old time's sake). I am not impressed with their secondary or their running game.

Houston is waaay overdue to get beat by us, and this is a good time to do it. In spite of additions, their D is still weak, and I can't see them lighting up the scoreboard against us.

Cleveland is just not very good, and this is a MUST WIN.

SD is gonna be very tuff. We will have to play VG or lucky to win this one.

In the division, I see us at 4-2. Pats were explained above. Buff is re-building, and two games we should, and must have. The Jets are not as good, nor will they be as lucky as last year. In spite of Ryan's predictions, I don't think they make the playoffs. I can see us winning this division or it coming down to tiebreakers with the Pats.

Those are my gut (not filled with beer) feelings. Later today, after bar- b-q and beer, I will likely go along with Adam for an undefeated season, and a Super Bowl Win. :)

Relative to what the pundits, media, and a lot of dolphin fans have projected our team to become this year, I think the Miami Dolphins will be one of the suprise teams in the NFL..I got us at 10 and 6, I think with how accurately we pinpointed our weaknesses this offseason, and how we lost football games last year, I see us being 2 games better than what last years should of been 8 and 8 record provided..Whatever happens after that, I'am not concerned with...Progression and contunuity with one of the youngest teams in football is what its all about for me..and what I mean by that is if we go 10 and 6 and don't make the playoffs, I'am still excited about the progression of the young team, and want to keep continuity with the coach.

I learned years ago to never pick San Diego as a Super Bowl winner because no matter how good they look, they'll lose in the playoffs; however, I'm going against that advice and think this could be the year.
