How do I keep missing these very important threads? Sorry, guess I was occupied in other areas, and for that I am truely sorry. You cant seem to catch a break lately Miss Mary. I STRONGLY believe that for every 100 bad breaks a person gets, they also get 100 good breaks, A Social Conservation of Energy if you will. So, hopefully you are just getting all the bad things out of the way now, and in the very near future those good things will start rolling in. You know how fond I am of you Miss Mary, nothing but prayers and good thoughts coming your way from here. I actually read this about 3 hours ago, and it has been very heavy on my mind since. Please keep us up to date, and keep your chin up.
Wow, you're having a very rough patch right now. I am extremely sorry that things are taking a turn this way and I hope that things better themselves very soon. I'm very sorry to hear about this dilemma and you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully the Dolphins keep it up, sometimes sports teams are the best thing to keep your spirits up...
Absolutely nothing to be sorry about Kenny. With what you and Carole are going through? Of course you've been busy. I hope this happens soon. I really need a break. Thank you very much doll. Right back atcha. I will keep you updated as things progress or don't progress.
Thanks so much for asking Alen. Things are not progressing or going well. We're down to our last little bit of cash and may soon have to cancel our internet, which may mean not being able to chat with you lovely people. We borrowed money to pay our $600 electric bill and owe the oil company money for our heating oil, so we're out of oil to heat the house. Hubby ran out today and bought two electric heaters because it's supposed to snow tonight and, hopefully, that will help our room and the girls' room. The thought is terrifying that we will soon be out of a home. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We love you all.
I hope so Alen. Thanks so much. You are one of the many bright spots on this board as well as Deb, Kenny, all the staff and many other members. Chris and I truly appreciate your support and your prayers.
I'm also sorry that I've missed this until now. I'm not sure which of the Psalms is appropriate for a case like this, I'll ask the Rabbi. One of the other things that can be done is to insert the prayer into the Western Wall. Send a prayer to the Western Wall I can also do it if you want.
Thanks all. I'm sorry I've been remiss in responding in this thread. You can still send a prayer to the Western Wall for me, if you wish, however, hubby had a lead on a job and had his first interview last week and impressed them so much, he has a second interview tomorrow. If you like, you can send a prayer for me that he gets the job. It won't help us in the short term, but will in the long term. Thanks so much for all of your prayers and support. It means very much to us!
They prayer should be yours, Mary. Of course, I can write a note for you and stick it in the Wall, but this is foremost your request to G-d. If you write it, I can't read it, it's like your personal letter to Him. I hope that the interview leads to a job.
I miss you too Deb. I'm sorry and thanks for the prayers. We've been crazy busy packing up our stuff. I don't know why - we have nowhere to send it - but we have a 3 story house and lots of stuff to pack up and, hopefully, if Chris gets the job, put it in storage. I would hate to lose everything I own. That would be a huge blow. Talk to you very soon. Love you. me
Great news! Very happy for your mrs. Mary. I hope he gets the job! I wish your family the best of luck. This may be kind of random but your really nice man. Always praying for the best for everyone. Glad to have you part of the site Miamian.
This is GREAT news Mary. I really hope this pans out. I imagine you will all still have a rough road in the near future, but at least something on the horizon is better than nothing on the horizon. God Bless all of you! I mentioned this situation to Carol and just need to remind you that You, Chris and of course the girls are in our Prayers.
Thanks Alen! We appreciate all the support from our family here. I agree Alen. Couldn't have said it better myself!
Kenny - my special friend. Thank you very much for your support. We are very thankful we're in your and everyone else's prayers. Please give Carol a kiss for me and your girls too and keep your fingers crossed.
Thank you Alen. I appreciate that very much especially considering how vicious it can sometimes get in the PoFo.
You could be right. I was also thinking about 24, which is said for what in Hebrew we call "parnasa" which roughly means career and economic sustenance.
Thanks everyone for your prayers and support. After a grueling 3 hour interview yesterday, hubby was offered the job and accepted and began this morning. He woke me up, brought me my tea and went happily off to work at 7:30. He's making half of what he made at his last job, but it's something coming in as opposed to nothing. Now I indeed know the power of prayer. We love you all. Chris and Mary Michelle and Meghan
And if I may, I'd like to share this prayer here. A good friend sent it to us during our trials and I thought it very apropo for any situation. HELLO GOD Hello God, I called tonight to talk a little while I need a friend who'll listen to my anxiety and trial. You see, I can't quite make it through a day just on my own I need your love to guide me, so I'll never feel alone. I want to ask you please to keep my family safe and sound. Come fill their lives with confidence for whatever fate they're bound. Give me faith, dear God, to face each hour throughout the day, And not to worry over things I can't change any way. I thank you God, for being home and listening to my call; for giving me such good advice when I stumble and I fall. Your number, God, is the only one that answers every time. I never get a busy signal, never have to pay a dime. So thank you, God, for listening to my troubles and my sorrow. Good night, God, I love you, too, and I'll call again tomorrow
great news Mary, and its not just prayers. its also fighting and never giving up when your backs to the wall. we're proud of you and your family.
Just brought tears to my eyes Miss Mary. Give Chris a huge hug from me....of course it needs to be in a Football, manly kindve way since its coming from me..... Much credit to him. It is tough to work for half of your market Value, but he indeed understands how much his family needs him to work through this time. One thing I learned from my parents, hard work and clean living can solve much. When things are really tough, time to work a little bit harder to work out of it. Really good things tend to come of times like these, and my prayers arent completely answered until that happens to you and your family. BTW: Thank you as one of my Christmas wishes has officially came true and early with this news Keep us posted please.
Thank you so much Keith. And a very Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family here. Everyone please have a wonderful and safe day with your family and friends.
Thanks so much for asking Alen. You are very kind indeed. Things are going well as far as the job front. We will keep praying that we'll find somewhere to live before they sell our house in January, or we're going to be in some more trouble. I truly appreciate the care and concern you guys express for us here and continue to keep everyone in my prayers, as well. This is truly a caring community and I'm better because of the fellowship here.
I wish you the best in finding a home. Thank you for updating us on a personal situation, greatly appreciated.
