I'd peg the Jests home and home as the latest, if he isn't starting by that point I'd be asking some tough questions. I think we all knew there was a good chance Tua would sit for awhile, but it's time. The only thing that would potentially discount him is health, and in that case, why is he dressing and not on IR?
Flores needs to step it up frankly. Have not been super impressed with him this year. Letting the FG team kick, what, five kicks? Against Russell Wilson and the Seahawks? Man, you ain't beating Wilson with field goals. Stop being so conservative, challenge your people.

I think the best time (for Tua) to start him is around week 9 with Arizona, after which we we have the Jets twice with a bye week in-between. Relatively easy competition with a bye week and 8 games total for the year is a good way to get his feet wet and at the same time have large enough sample size for some meaningful evaluation. Also, that stretch starts easy but ends hard with KC, NE and Buffalo in the last 4 games. A good way to build up the level of difficulty.
TheHighExhaultedForum VeteranYou can't say you're worried about his health and then have him active every game as the backup. Makes no sense and Flores sounds stupid when he says that.
If you don't think he's healthy they should have kept Rosen to backup and effectively redshirt Tua.
