It's the NFL - all of these games are toss ups, alas we beat teams like New England and lose to teams like the Bucs. We're all debating the defensive line, which is the LEAST of concerns as it is our strongest unit. We'll kill it up front next season. We really need to figure out how to put more points on the board to separate from other teams so not every game is decided by 3-4 points. Step one has been worked on with the additions of Albert and Smith. This allows us to see what RT can actually do when he's not running for his life every snap. Step two should be to solidify the linebacker unit - copy Seattle. The NFL wants to be an offensive passing attack league, but Seattle just proved again why defense wins championships...the signing of DRC/Revis/Talib/Browner to complement Grimes should have been a priority and it wasn't - we missed out AGAIN. Bring in a stud running back - maybe a vet like MJD to teach Lamar Miller field vision because he has absolutely ZERO of it. That or can the entire backfield and get Mason, it's clear as day he's the most like Shady. For the most part we all agree we need to solidify the line with one more addition, bring a true number one BIG receiver (none of this quick little Tavon Austin talk, we have Gibson who is fine and plenty of others), bring in a few rookies for the LB core and backfield. We're a lot closer than most of us cynical fans think. It rests on RT but how do we know he can't be twice as good with a real offensive line?
