Have any of you ever heard of these? they are the very best fruit you will ever eat. I totally disagree with the person that said they taste like a plum. Pluots are a very distinctive fruit, and have a taste all there own. Get the ones that have the greenish meat, not the red. These are so good that I actually have 5 trees that are about 3 ft tall, and probably a couple or 3 years from producing. If you have a chance to buy them, especially California product, buy them, and from as close to your home as possible. I don't know how well uthey travel, so I'm not sure how the West Coast fruit will be on the East Coast, but definately give them a try...I personally prefer the ones from the fruit stand vs the larger grocery stores as the ones from the stores seem to be lacking flavor. http://www.fruitpatch.net/products/pluot.htm http://homeparents.about.com/b/a/11912.htm
