Looks like no one on here is talking about it on here so I will get it started. The Vita officially launches today, Feb 22nd. I've had my Vita since Feb 15th and it is awesome. This is a next gen console. Anyone else have it or interested in it?
Haven't really looked into it, but heard that it is possible to save Ps3 games, then sonehow transfer the saved game to the vita and play it there. Is that possible? If so I am in.
I have it arriving today, too bad I'm in Minnesota until Friday. I snagged a bunch of games through buy 2 get 1 free sales on Amazon and Best Buy today (bestbuy.com has mlb the show and littlebigplanet as eligble for b2g1 free). I'm really excited to get my hands on it Friday, and while I got a 4GB memory card free I think I'm going to get a 32GB card (the cost will be eased by a $20 promo code Amazon sent out for pre-ordering). Super Stardust Delta, Plants vs Zombies, Escape Plan and Mutant Zombie Attack (I think that's the name) are tempting off PSN. Here's the games I have ordered (most arriving today): Spoiler Hot Shots Golf Wipeout 2048 Rayman: Origins BlazBlue Continuum Shift EXTEND Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Lumines MLB 12 the Show (out in March) LittleBigPlanet (out in June) Dragon's Crown (out in July)
You can definitely do that with MLB 12 the Show. I think BlazBlue can do it too, but I'm not 100% sure.
I haven't been interested in a handheld console since the Gameboy. And with the quality of games on smartphones now, I have 0 interest in ever spending money on a portable gaming device. No offense to anyone on here who will buy and enjoy this, but I think the market is geared towards the younger kids and Nintendo has the market cornered there. I'm strictly judging based on the rarity of people I see over the age of 20 playing handheld devices in public, but I'm guessing this might be a failure for Sony.
I'm not interested at all. The 3DS is hitting its stride, and Nintendo is pulling its head from its *** with regards to JRPGs; conversely, the only Vita game I care about is Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, which doesn't offer much new or interesting to me over Sigma.
Got some hands on with it today. Very cool for a portable. Only played a little Wipeout and Lumines so far. The screen is gorgeous, and I'm surprised how well the speakers sound to me. Not quite PS3 graphics, but like PS2.5, which is damn impressive IMO.
