I like how Sherman as amped up as he was made sure not to curse yet still insult his opponent on live television.

are you serious?! That's easy for someone to say when they're not on the field and in the moment.
When passion is aside the guy is incredibly respectful of the game and all involved, including his opponents. He just finished playing a tense 60 minutes of ball whose winner would see a SB appearance, so if Crabtree were running his mouth all game long I'd make it a point to give him a little vindication shout out afterward too.

    :chuckle:

If Crab talked trash all game [which he probably did b/c I've never seen Sherman go off on an opponent like that before] then he deserved to be made into an *** afterward. Had it coming. He better get the win and convert that TD if he wants to talk the talk.

He will undoubtedly have help. Idc if your Dion Sanders, you don't man up on a freak like Demaryuis with an assassin like #18.

Sherman and his act is still pretty corny though. Sounds like some WWF bull**** for those that enjoy that kind of thing.

If you're gonna talk **** at least make it good.

I can't be happier to be 0 and 2. Both Pats and 49ers lost... great great day!! Seattle vs Denver is going to be a fabulous superbowl. Manning and those receivers vs that secondary... damn shame about Bowman though. That knee injury was one of the worst I've seen... right up there with ex Raider Napoleon Kaufman injury although Bowman's knee went out instead of in.

yeah that sucks for bowman. not only did he make a great play and should have had the ball but he doesn't get the ball and has his knee shredded in the process.

@AdamSchefter 10m So it's No. 1-seed Seattle vs. No. 1-seed Denver. Last times SB featured two No. 1 seeds was Saints-Colts in 2009 and Cowboys-Bills in 1993.

Terrible injury. Wasn't that his teammate who came in with the hit? That (and Steratore doing a Steratore) makes it worse in my eyes, because it was a pointless injury.

I was rooting for Seattle, but I found that the ref and his crew took a little of the shine off this one.

I love Richard Sherman. I used to be annoyed by his talking, then I watched a sit-down interview and he came across as really intelligent, respectful [of the game, as noted above], and likeable. It's funny how people can have multiple personas, and it's funny what adrenaline can do for Sherman's trash talking persona.

I wish Miami could coach DB's like Pete Carroll does. I would say I wish Miami could draft DB's like Seattle does, but I suspect that coaching is a huge part of it.

I have no rooting interest but I thought SF got robbed by crapp officiating.. It almost felt like the refs were doing everything in their power to give Seattle the edge.

I guess it could be payback from 2005. Yeah I thought a lot of bad calls were made but 9ers still had chances to win. The ints killed them at the end.

I'm just happy we don't have to see Colin Kaepernick anymore. Media will get too caught up with the bicep ******edness, we can just discuss football and talk about one of the best defenses built in this era, Peyton Manning, and Pete Carroll. Man, everyone was doubting Carroll after he left USC (I'm a USC fan and even I understood why he left) and said he abandoned them, and look what he built in Seattle. Amazing job he has done.

And yeah, Sherman is a hell of a player but he's a gigantic bag of douche. I understand the emotional aspect of the game but you don't go on national TV after the game and say that about your opponent. Completely classless.

How the hell are either far better than Tannehill? Call me a homer if you want but Tannehill has won games all by himself. Wake me up when Wilson and especially Kaepernick do that.

Wilson is better right now but no chance in hell am I say Kaepernick is better than Tannehill. No chance.

Tannehill lead his team to a grand total 7 points against the Jets and Bills defense in two weeks. Kaepernick scored 37 points against Carolina and the 49ers defense IN THE PLAYOFFS (removing 3 points because of Russell's fumble). Yes, Kaepernick is better, and Kaepernick is very mediocre but he is still better. He gets his team to the endzone.

Pretty sure Tannehill would have **** his pants against Seattle and I would have put money on the OVER of 5 turnovers on Tannehill if that was a betting line.

Yeah, Tannehill was bad the last few weeks but Kaepernick is vastly overrated. The guy just isn't that good a passer and he hides behind an outstanding running game. Tannehill has plenty to improve on but he can sling the ball. We had the worst run game and offensive line in the league and we still won 8 games and we're competitive because of Tannehill's arm.

And yeah, I'm sure Tannehill **** his pants. I guess you forgot that he BEAT the Seahawks last season with a game winning drive.

I dont think it was a homerish statement. Id take Tannehill over Kaepernick in a heartbeat. Wilson, you can flip a coin. Wilson may be one of those qb's who just has "it". And if he does God Bless and Ill admit I didnt give him enough credit. Hes a likeable player imo. Kaepernick never impressed me going back to college. Hes not terrible but I also think SF messed up by getting rid of Alex Smith because even though Smith has limitations hes also a better passer then kaepernick. As I said last week, Im thoroughly unimpressed with Kaepernick. Hes not a top-half-of-the-league qb to me. He barely top 20. hes got a ready made team with studs at every position and a great OL and D to lean on, a good coach (albeit a whiny one who irks me) and he cant get it done.

I'm shocked anyone would want CKap over Tannehill at this point.

I like what Wilson does but I wonder how long he can work his magic without getting hurt.

San Fran loves to chirp. I dont blame Sherman when this was just one of a few comments Crabtree made....Sherman took it personally, and some players need to do that to stay motivated. It may not be appealling to you and some others, understandably, but its also not appalling. Its not like Sherman said he going to try and injure him or something which would have been classless.

I thought Tom Jackson made a great point in that all the great CB's throughout the history of the NFL are braggers. Theyre just really confident and like a QB who just threw an INT they need a short memory. But Deion, Revis, Sherman...you can go back to Mel Blount and say the same thing. Darrell Green might be the one exception I can think of who didnt talk a lot and was still an amazing CB

I have a lot of respect for Wilson and I think he's a good QB, but it's tough to gauge him when he has that kind of team around him. He never has to do a lot. Tannehill meanwhile, had to do everything himself this past season because our running game and line were abysmal. And that's not an opinion, it's a fact.

Again, Tannehill has plenty to work on, but the way he was able to keep us in games and win games all by himself is very encouraging.

And CK? Nah, I don't think he's very good. Maybe he gets better as a passer, but right now I think Tannehill is a better passer and I don't think it's all that close.

I disagree on Wilson. I dont think he has much around him at all. Tate is basically a faster, less reliable (hands wise) Brian Hartline. harvins been hurt all year. Kearse, Baldwin, Zach Miller are all inconsistent and unreliable.....ditto the injured Sidney Rice. Their OL is maybe a hair better then ours as pass blockers, albeit much better run blockers (I didnt check PFF on this, just going by the eye test...too lazy after a full day of work). Lynch/Turbin is about his only reliable threat. And theyre much better coached imo then Miami

Let's not pretend that Sherman doesn't run his yap all the time too though. He's been doing it forever. I'm sure Crabtree was talking crap but no doubt Sherman was doing the same. I don't have a problem with trash talk, especially with receivers and corners because it's quite common, but what he did after the game was embarrassing.

I wasn't talking about weapons, I'm talking about the run game. He has a top 3 running back on his team and they have a top tier rushing attack. Could you imagine how much better Tannehill would be if we even had an AVERAGE running game to assist him with?

No question Tannehill would be much better. How much better would Wilson be if he a healthy Harvin and a healthy Sidney Rice?
