Desidesforum_veteranIf it was a family matter, but the Giants still want to make a point, they should just suspend his paychecks for two weeks, but let him play after the bye. Suspending a player punishes the team, not the player. It's like Steve Smith's 2 game suspension.

They say it was a family matter but who knows. He should have called his employer as anyone else would have or at least answered his phone when they called him repeatedly. Rosenhaus really bothers me. How he became an agent and always gets to be interviewed on ESPN is beyond me. If Plax wants to play and be with his teammates so bad he would have been at practice. And if its really just about playing, Tell Plax he can be at practice the next two weeks and play against Seattle for free.
Rosenhaus has said that it is a family matter but the Giants don't believe it. However, it sounds like Rosenhaus is right. There have been two domestic disturbances coming from Burress' home in the last few months. Those disturbances have ended up in phone calls to the police by Burress' wife.
