Probably the reason we signed a Safety yesterday. Someone needs to be there to take reps until Hill (I don't care about Worrel) can get back mid training camp (I hope).
Cameron Worrel might have been the worst defensive player ever to wear a Phins uniform. Guy made Reggie Howard look like Champ Bailey...
Reminds me of the game vs NE where they put up 42 in the first half on us (depression status). Man did he get MOSSED!
No, "not covering him" would be considered a compliment. More like 'annihilated' by Moss. And Im pretty sure that wasn't only time he looked silly...
that sucks that Hill wont be ready. Pretty disappointing. As for Worrell... no big loss for the starting D, but that guy reminds me of a defensive wes welker on special teams... he's just a crazy little guy, that just throws his body around, special teams wise, i think he could possibly be nice to keep around... defensively, id rather put keith traylor in our secondary lol
Besides, Worrell has what most players don't have in this league: Heart. It amazes me that people can hate on a guy that was brought in for special teams in the first place.
Oh yes how could I forget the Push offs in that game The only play Worrell got burnt was the Donte Stallworth play, he took a bad angle. Other than that Worrell worked and played hard for us. Yeah the guy isnt the greatest player but lets show some respect. He is a solid Speacial teamer nothing more.
I agree... Dont get me wrong...he sucks as a starter... BUT the guy gets busted up and comes back and ....gets busted up...and comes back...over and over and over... He's got more heart than half this league.... If he works at bulking himself up ..A LOT...and his technique who knows...
There were a lot of guys who quit and took plays off last year and Worrell definately wasn't one of them. He gave it everything it had and it cost him his knee only to be badmouthed by a bunch of keyboard jocks for being what he was, the 5th best option at Safety last year on a terribly injured and piss poor coached team.
Thanks for the update, Worrell doesn't worry me, he could be out for the year and it wouldn't worry me . . . not knocking the guy, just not very important in our scheme of things.
Ok Ok I agree with Cameron Worrell as a stick in the mud and all, I mean he got beat more than a prisioner in a 3rd world country... But He was a special teams player only for his career. That is why he was brought here. Nick Jones will now take his place and be an upgrade, but due to the injuries last year he had to play And his name isn't Cameron Worrell really... It's freaking burnt fing TOAST worrell.
My point wasnt to demean a guy for playing hard, I realize he was only in there because of injuries. But it was frustrating last year to goto the games and see him out there and J.Allen on the bench. One of the reasons Im glad Cam is gone. Sitting a 17th overall pick in favor of a 'career special teamer' made me sick to my stomach...
