Wudda shudda cudda. I liked him as a player too. When we traded up into the 2nd round, I was 90% sure the name that was going to appear as our pick was Mallett. But we didn't take him. Odds are he will never wear a Dolphins uni. So no use crying or lamenting over spilled milk. Time to move on. IMO, either forget him except to root against him when he plays against us, or if the Mallett love is too strong, become a Pats fan. Much as I admired his body of work in college, now he falls in with every other Buffalo, Jets or Pats player and I hope every single one of them play like crap in each and every game. Even though that includes former college favorites like Patrick Chung and Jairus Byrd.
It is not just Mallet but lots of other QB's we have passed on because this front office fails to see the need to draft a Qb, that makes being a Dolphin fan very frustrating these days. The Dolphins make it seem like picking a star Qb is rocket science. It really is not that hard, just draft the best one available with your first pick. The Dolphins are clueless, my 10 year old nephew could run this team better than they are, at least he knows that QB is the most important position in football. This front office are clowns that has no clue, how to run a team. You start by finding your QB first and then build around him, not the other way around. You have to admit the Dolphins are the laughing stock of the NFL right now.
Hey look I have been a Dolphins fan, since the 70's when the team were winners. I don't have to agree with dumb football moves like drafting a center in the first round instead of picking up a hesiemen winner. in Mark Ingram. Just because I am fan does not mean I have to agree with stupid basic mistakes that has been haunting this franchise for years now
B. Marshall should be the face of the franchise but you never know what might happen with him so I would lean elsewhere
