my post from the World Series thread...

congrats to the Phillies and their fans...long awaited and much deserved.

I actually enjoyed this World Series...all the games except for one were one-run nail biters.

I'm happy for Brad Lidge. Who lost himself after that HR he gave up to Pujols a few years ago and worked hard to get himself back to greatness and saneness.

winning the world series, and booing the other team when your owner tries to congratulate them on a good season... oh yes... typical philly. that was pretty awful to see/hear imo...

congrats to them though.

I'll be at broad and spring garden until about 230. Just too late for the parade. But if my meeting ends early, I'm hoping on the Broad Street line, taking the parking ticket, and going to the parade!

Glad to see they won it.
I like the Phils... not as much as my Red Sox... but I've always had a soft spot for them, since I only live across the river...

They had a great season, beat some high caliber teams to get to the series, and showed a young Tampa team how to do it.

I'll stop whining when the flyers win the cup. They haven't since 1975

Thanks Boik. I just hope the Dolphins can now win a SB. I was about 8 years the last time the Phins won it all (in the early 70's) and I just hope the Tuna can bring all the pieces together. I think winning a SB is actually a little easier than winning a World Series,,,as you only have to win about 3 games if you are the division winner. We can do this!!!!
